Just finished my 4th time watching the series. One of the best written, cast and directed shows ever. Coach Taylor and Tammy taught me some fantastic life lessons. Well done 👍🏼!!!
Taylor would so not be up for a spin off. He's said repeatedly that the way they left FNL was so right, and it should now be left alone. He loved playing Riggins, but he's done with it all now. I respect his honesty.
The writers got this series right by developing the back stories of the characters so well. Loved that coach turned down the back stabbers, when his rag tag team won state finals, and his old team wanted him back. Bravo, then they leave the state! HA!

I only recently realized that the high school football team featured on "Friday Night Lights" had the nickname "Panthers" just like Whitmer High School, the high school that Adrianne and I went to. I graduated from Whitmer High School in 1987. Go Panthers!

I thought it was so wrong to pair her and Riggins at the end. I would rather have seen him alone dreaming of Lyla, or just alone and building his house.
Yeah and her relationship with Landry got zero closure. He was the main reason she got into college and out of Dillon. They didn't even get a moment in the finale. Lazy writing.
No, Tyra and Tim were made for each other. Lyla doesn’t belong in a family like that, full of strippers and stuff. Like, no one should, but the Collettes and the Riggins just fit. They were all ready a family, and they were the hottest couple, so they were just perfect.
I think most of the couples on the show would end up with someone different. It was nice having Tyra come back in season five and I hope that her and Riggs would be close friends and be the fun auntie and uncle for Mindy and Billy's brood. I would want both of them, and all the high school couples to move on to new people that complimented them and didn't have such a messy dramatic history. I think Riggs would work as in freelance animal rescue, rehoming bees, ferrets, dogs, cats, lizards, whatever. Tyra would work in social services fighting for people who needed help, Maybe Jess and Vince could meet up again and be together, I would hope they would be able to thrive.
I'm watching FNL for the first time in 2021. Great great show but they definitely jumped the shark with the (i hate to call it) murder. Love Lance/Landry. I'm already dreading that it will end. I will miss the people. And bummer for me that there was a spoiler.

Season 2 was best to be forgotten by all. It just stunk of network interference.
