Things to know Before Sailing On Silversea [esp. on Silver Moon]
SIX-STAR LUXURY SHIP: The Silver Sea, a two-time 'Best Luxury Cruise' winner, stands out for its meticulous attention to detail and an exclusive, unparalleled experience. After going on so many cruises, I can definitely see why Silver Seas won the Best Luxury Cruise. Their attention to detail, amazing customer service, and food and accommodations were top notch.
SMALL SHIP TOP SERVICE- we were aboard the Silver Moon cruise, known for its smaller size compared to other liners. However, the ship's dimensions are the only thing that's small about it. From the entertainment and atmosphere to the outstanding cuisine, every aspect exceeded our expectations. After this cruise, I actually prefer a smaller cruise ship.
STATEROOM- Now, let's get into the world of luxury with this incredible stateroom. We’ve been on suites that didn’t feel as nice as our Classic Verandah stateroom. The spacious room, walk-in closets, and separate shower and tub in the bathroom were incredible. We knew we would be very comfortable during this 12 day cruise.
The Food- Now, let's dive into the world of cuisine aboard the Silver Moon. With an impressive array of 8 superb restaurants featuring global options, the dining experience is nothing short of five-star excellence, just as you'd expect. I felt like I was eating at a Michelin star restaurant each night.
Butler Service: Silver Sea offers each room an assigned butler, and this takes your experience to the next level. The butlers are there to provide you with anything you need. From unpacking to fulfilling your every request. Our butler knew our preferences very quickly. He would bring our favorite drink or snack to the room at the usual time that we would request it. He really spoiled us in every way possible!
Dress Code: To match the elegance of the luxury cruise line, thoughtful consideration of your attire is a must. Every cruise follows a dress code policy, and the Silver Moon is no exception. However, Silversea is much more formal than the moderate cruise ships. Men, make sure to pack your suits and jackets. Women, don’t forget to bring your gowns and dresses. Each night is categorized as casual, semi-formal, or formal.
Demographics: Most of the guests on our ship were between the ages of 50-80 and there are only a few children onboard. It is an older crowd, but I know someone in their 30s or 40s would have an amazing time because of the experience.
Excursions: The best part about Silversea is that the excursions are included! This feature adds so much value to your trip.
Amenities: Enjoy a variety of offerings while at sea with Silver moon, including gyms, spas, the piano bar, a casino, shopping, and entertainment.
Silversea truly blew me away! Are there any cons? Well, if you’re looking for a younger group of people, partying, or great entertainment, this may not be the right cruise line for you. However, it is currently my favorite for customer service, food, and accommodations.
