Yea, some of these are new to me. In fact, none of my farming friends in the area have ever tried sorghum Sudan grass. I’m torn if I will fertilize or see how it does naturally.
I’ve talked to them a few times and our parish extension does not have one. Our area is dominated by sugarcane farming. Very little grain or livestock so it doesn’t seem like a priority for our extension office.
Watch the sorghum sudan on droughts because of prussic acid. I love the stuff. It produces a ton!! For the last 2 years we've had better success with black oil sunflowers than with hybrids.
I checked the ag office, they don’t have one. The co-op has a regular drill and a broadcast spreader they rent out. No no-till that I can find locally. It’s not surprising though because most of the what is grown here is sugarcane.
It will be nice to see how all the different seeds germinate and grow

Talk to your county extension. Often times, your county will have a no-till drill to loan.

You may be able to rent a no till drill at your local AG office.
