Quebec is a French province. Montreal has a feel of NYC because of its diverse immigrant population. Store signs are in French, but most clerks are bilingual (French and English). Public transit in Montreal is very convenient because of its subway system (metro). McGill's main campus is located in Montreal downtown; one can get there within 30 min from suburban cities by subway. Macdonald campus (agricultural) is located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, about 45 min drive from Montreal. Education is conducted in English. McGill is one of the oldest universities in Canada; people called it Harvard of Canada. It has a large international alumni.
