    1 of my teachers once told me If you want to learn to sing and play your instrument. Then do it from the beginning of learning your instrument and singing. If you do them together from the beginning You will learn to do both together well. If you wait to learn your instrument 1st and then try to sing with it You may not be able to do it. Do both together from the beginning. Your suggestion about singing with your playing is a good 1. Thanks

    is the standard chord movement in minor different from that of the major scale? in other words, if in major the most basic movement is 1-4-5, is there some analogous movement in the minor scale? i notice a lot of use of the 7 chord in minor, and in in this video for example at 11:30 your choice of roots was 1 6 3 7 in minor, which would never be a standard choice in major. that's what i'm trying to understand - what's the common chord movement in minor and how does it compare to the standard movements in major?

    • @michaelgoikhberg3107
      @michaelgoikhberg3107 8 месяцев назад

      1-6-3-7 in minor sounds to me like a kind of minor version of 1-5-6-4 in major. not sure why or if that's correct, just sounded like that to me, and you said the 1-6-3-7 is more "poppy", which is also true of 1-5-6-4 in major.
