- Kingda Ka is HEAVILY rumored to close forever on November 10! This video is not for clout if anything by informing you it makes my experience on Sunday worse, but I love the ride. There will be no announcement by the park before it closes so I want everyone to be able to take that last ride!

I was there Thursday 11/7 and the ride attendant said they finally got the word from management that they can tell and/or confirm it with people in line.
Ok? But like there would’ve been an announcement. Nothing has been released yet, at least nothing credible that I’ve seen.
Hey I’m the guy with long hair who chatted briefly with you in line on Saturday night! I had a front row ride at night and it was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had on this ride. It literally took my breath away and I came off in tears. Long live the king 🪦
Crazy to see it built and now to see it come down. It makes me feel so old 😂 RIP Ka
Very nice.
what makes you think they're closing it this sunday as opposed to at the end of the year?
Insider information
@@coasters4life388doubt it. The park hasn’t even said anything
@@nancyfarkas3592 I have insider information too (I work at the park). The park doesn’t plan to make an announcement. They will just close it with no advanced notice.
Well this is usually the time ka closes anyways for the year so it makes sense time wise. I still hate that they are doing it tho
There is no way the park would EVER close a roller coaster without having a public announcement
The part that doesn't make sense is the park not announcing the closure of a ride of that status. They'd draw in people from all over the region.
You're 💯 right about stand-up coasters. I love the ones I have ridden. I can't believe that ka is closing. I've never been on it.😥
Is it possible that maybe there gonna put a spike in it Like Cedar Point or even re imagine it or changing the name..They said that about the rattler in san antonio then it was announced Iron rattler. So who knows? As a six flags employee I haven't heard anything of that sort..we shall see what lies ahead. What I can say is that if it is true better things are yet to come..Unfortunately it's gonna be hard with a Rollercoaster of this magnitude..we shall see
Eh. I'll believe it when I see the track actually being taken out. Until then, I'm skeptical of these rumors
theres literally a marker in the station what u mean 😂
It’s white, that means they are going to do excavation.
It is 100% going away, do not be fooled. Survey markers with a hole that has been drilled in the queue line. Ride it ASAP or be sorry.
I got my last ride - shame you won’t be getting yours
@@coasters4life388 I never got to ride this beast, maybe one day ill get to go to Cedar Point if TT2 ever opens.
All the markers look like they are on cracks in the pavement. Perhaps they are going to be redoing the concrete.
Been riding Green Lantern since it was Chang at SFKK.
So glad I got on Ka in 2021. 😢
I won't believe it until i hear an official announcement from Six Flags.
I believe Green lantern was imported from a different park. The real sin there was scrapping the Great American Scream Machine. Loved that one. Kinda Ka is a record holder and a main attraction. Weird that they would kill it🤔
Make over, refurbished. Revamp. Close the rest of the year. Spring 2025, it will be back open. It's just closed the rest of the year. Do you really think they would advertise season passes and this ride for next year if they were going to tear it down? All it took was me to email their corporate for them to deny this. The email I receive was closed for the rest of the year, that it will be operating in spring season of 2025. Wonder how much money they made last weekend off this rumor??
Can I still go this weekend? I just heard about the closing I want to go one last time
No, it closed forever last Sunday
If this thing opens back up next year pretty much every coaster you tube channel loses all their credibility
This ride means everything to me at my home park disrespecting New Jersey. I will be there all day.
All I gotta say is I won’t be coming to this park for a while
How disappointing 😢I love that ride, it is Literally my go to ride everytime I come to Six Flags Great Adventure love from Maryland ❤
And this is cap cause i was just at six flags great adventure and i asked are they closing ka soon they said no
I think Kingda Ka will get extended
Can't, they're not made up of that kind of space.
They might remove green lantern too tho
@@ThePizzaGuy-fq2hy Then Great Adventure will be closed for good.
Will Kingda Ka open for the 2025 and 2026 year I really want to ride and I don't have the money
No….
King da kah is definitely done, for the most part is usually always closed, granted I don’t go there often but king da kah bought them money but usually it was always down, I’m surprised el toro isn’t on the list cause I swear that ride never is on
Toro is safe
NEW GENE STAPLES COASTER 🗣️
I'm sure just the operating cost alone would be more than what any of Gene's parks could afford to sustain.
@ joke lol
Maybe it can receive the Top Thrill 2 treatment soon!
I think it will and got info from someone who worked there and actually made kingda ka who said it will. Still get your last rides in though just in case.🤞
Not happening
@@coasters4life388 why do you think so? There is a lot of evidence leaning towards this. There are three markers that make a triangle which is where a spike would go. Also they would have to redo the station on the left side and there is a marker there and none on the other side. White markers which mean excavation is all near lantern and none even close to ka. I’m leaning more towards a top thrill situation. I could be wrong and I’ll admit it if I am but that’s just what I think
@@jacobrotkowitz3978 I literally work at the park and I know the people who have already made the decision on ka’s future
@@jacobrotkowitz3978 I doubt it to be honest since Cedar Fair had to invest a lot of money into tt2 and bear in mind they didn't even go with intamin and with the failure of tt2 if they were to try and do the same with Ka it would be significantly higher in cost due to the fact that they will likely go back to intamin to redo the coaster and it would be much more expensive due to obviously Intamin charging more for their product so it makes sense as to why Cedar Flags would want to demolish Kingda Ka to make room for expansion and also this is likely part of a revitalization effort to redo the Golden Kingdom(at least I hope but with markers going through it has me worried that's not the case and they're completely doing away with it) and to make way for a new launch coaster from vekoma or intamin hopefully intamin since the removal of Ka will be huge and if they do remove it the park's reputation will be on the line and this is a do or die type of situation so they are going to to have to deliver something huge. I understand you had said in another comment on this video "zamperla will do it for basically no cost because of the tt2 mess" I really doubt that claim since with the whole tt2 thing costing 25 million I dont think a manufacturer like Zamperla would really throw that kind of money away at Cedar Flags to avoid being blacklisted instead giving them a free coaster essentially
I got info from someone who built and rode it before it opened and shared a bunch of stories about it being built. I was told that it will be getting a back spike and lsms. He told me zamperla will do it for basically no cost because of the tt2 mess. Take this as you will and still get your rides in on ka but I’m really thinking ka will get the tt2 treatment. I also spoke to employees and they said it’s done but they don’t know if it’s coming down or if it’s being reimagined
No one never does anything for free anymore, but it's worth the optimism. Only way they do it for free if they sign a deal giving zamperla a ride contract. They should just call back intamin and let them do it.
@ the guy I spoke to said intamin charges too much and zamperla would do it for almost free to compensate.
@@jacobrotkowitz3978 well I'll give them a shot again If they can do it but ka is taller and faster than top thrill it will be a tougher project but if they say they can do it was the worse that can happen
@@Realninjagamer28 what do you think will happen. At this point best case scenario is Zamperla coming out to redo it and that’s what I think will happen because no employee has said they are tearing it down they only know it’s closing
@@jacobrotkowitz3978 great adventure is my home park I hope it works out whatever they do just don't want them tearing it down. Cause the park will be crowded losing a big ride like that
Me and my friend are gonna get on one of the last trains tomorrow
If they close it, damn, aren't they already closing Top Thrill Dragster because of the off ride accident?
Top Thrill still exists it’s just revamped.
I absolutely love Kingda Ka!!! One of the best rides!!! I cannot believe they're taking it out!!! Why????!!!!! 😢😢😢😢
You guys can doubt the validity all you want of the ride closing, but don't you think someone would have made a PR announcement saying "the ride is not closing, it's false information" if it wasn't closing? There hasn't been a peep.
On a clear day, if you know where to look, you can see the skyscrapers in Manhattan and Center City Philly from the top of this coaster.
I love that about it. Philly is really easy to spot. Just look above nitro’s second hill!
Is Kingda ka actually officially closing? Also the markings could be were pipes might get replaced.
There was no official statement ever put out regarding Kingda Ka
Park Manager - It’s not closings
you are not a park manager XD i would belive a 5 year old more than you
You're the park larp
Lil bro it is being taken down I’d believe a newborn more than you
Is the last day of this ride in this coming Sunday?
yes
Gonna miss her. She'll be in good company with deja vu and shockwave
Not to mention Great American Scream Machine.
Him. It’s the KING of coasters. 😂
Im still salty about the scream machine.
Someone in my family works at Great Adventure and they did say Kingda Ka, Zumanjaro, Green Lantern, and The twister ride are all closing forever next weekend
Forever?
Closing for the year not forever!
@@nancyfarkas3592 okay thanks!
If Kingda Ka gets the sml treatment I’m going to ride Storm Runner crazy. Because Storm might be next😭
@@nancyfarkas3592forever. Stop spreading lies.
This is heart breaking news 😢
I asked a worker if Green Lantern was closing, and he said it was your finally time riding it because it’s closing on Sunday. With orange construction marks around Green Lantern, Kingda ka, and also the twister. Take your final ride before they close for good.
For the season! Not forever
@@nancyfarkas3592what makes you say this?
Best ride I've been on. I don't understand why they would have to make any changes to the ride.
Someone update RCDB so it says Kingda Ka will close.
Green Lantern does have cranes by it now
Green lantern is basically confirmed to be gone
@@TheEpic22 any idea on that ride's fate? Is it getting scrapped or relocated?
Considering that there are a number of parks it could go to now. Plus I'm sure there's probably some park out there that could get a third-hand B&M coaster.
@
I think it’s getting relocated but idk.
Six Flags corporate already responded to the rumors after local news ask if the ride was shutting down permanently. They said it's shutting down for the rest of the year for maintenance and will be back up and running in spring break of 2025. It's not getting demolish! Stop spreading false information!
I’ll believe it when they post it to their social media. They love to deny things to local media.
Why are there markers all over the place?
Why did they have employee ride night for the three rides that are rumored to close last night that wasn’t originally scheduled?
@TheCoasterSpot Two rides permanently closing. Kingda Ka is temporarily closing for maintenance, a minor remodel, it will be re-open in spring season of 2025. They're redoing the entrance to ride and adding new attractions in that area, redoing the pathways. Taking out old pathways. That hole area is getting a over haul. Maintenance technician that works at that park said on X they wouldn't leave them out of the loop when it comes to rides they work on, just to randomly just out of the blue say. Oh, yeah. This ride is getting demolish. Don't tell the public!
Fire the new CEO of Six Flags
Top thrill almost killed someone and top thrill 2 was closed after like 6 weeks or something. It must be a huge liability.
There is talk of six flags- cedar fair closing more parks besides Californias great America-- they shpuld not have been allowed to merge!! and now they are going to close 'less profitable 'parks cuz they dont have the passion to care for the individual parks!! uggh 😭
The local news in New Jersey is talking about it The ride is closing. They talk to people at the park unofficially it’s closing local New Jersey online publications.
20th anniversary of the ride is next year. I think they do keep it for one more year, at least.
Why is king da ka closing
It's not. Got in contact with there corporate office. It's closing for the season, not for ever! Six Flags needs to come out and shut down this rumor. Wait! They won't, there attendance was at all time high last weekend because of it. Someone on social media drop over $4,000. Got a plane ticket, spend moeny on a Hotel and car rental for three nights just to ride this ride. Over a rumor. It's really great marketing!
How are the lines?
They were pretty good today on a Friday. I think coliwood got over 65 rides with no fast pass.
I don't think king da ka is going anywhere
3:16 Actually there is something like it it's called stealth in Thorpe Park
And Storm Runner at Hershey but that actually has more layout not just a hill
Aww I never got to try it
At least I got to ride it and witness a rollback
This is simply not true. Hasn’t been confirmed or announced by the park
Go be clueless in traffic
@ you thought
@@chrisbruchak4519 six flags would never shut down a ride without announcing it
I will miss it
What would be the reason for this? I am not an avid Six Flags follower, but isn't this one of their most popular rides ever?
probably maintenance cost
It’s expensive to run + unreliable
Also it will lose the height record next year
@@coasters4life388 Interesting, I get it from that point of view but as a complete casual it gives off the feeling that they are struggling and don't care about their longtime customers (you guys, namely)
@@russmacc316 yeah all they care about is the money tbh
Not only is it closing but Walmart target and best buy are shutting down forever too all fast food all dry cleaning all grocery stores everywhere. In fact nothing was ever Open at all because in the end life just a dream isn't it? 😂
I’m so glad I got to ride it with Jeff. What a great coaster.
So sad 😭
Hope if they do something they add to the ride and it goes into the green lantern area making the ride bigger
I will be there on Sunday
Yeah this rumor is fake do you think that those markings on the ground have to do with anything with Kingda Ka or Green Lantern probably not
Not fake. Cope harder, dummy
@@chrisbruchak4519nothing’s been confirmed besides the ride closing for the winter, and yet you’re calling people dumb for using their brains and thinking for themselves instead of just eating up whatever these RUclipsrs say.
Why is everyone making these clickbaity titles and thumbnails about King Da Ka. This wild
Bc here we are, watching and commenting on it...
I still haven’t recovered from Rolling Thunder and Scream Machine closing
I haven’t either also Chiller
ive never rode kingda ka, as Cedar point is my home park and i still live in ohio today
and i most likely wont go this Sunday, as it would be super unexpected.
I always wanted to ride this, rip.
3:10, it’s not the last of its kind
@ToothyDevelopstt2 has already opened and run. Its being adjusted right. And tt2 is a magnetic swing launch. This is a straight shot hydraulic launch. Its the last of its kind fake mr.knowitall.
Xcelerator still exist and its better anyway.
I hope not....me and my girls were planning on going next spring for the first time
Since tt2 is owned by the same company now and got the refurb, it makes kind of sense to get rid of Ka so tt2 gets back all the „records“ as of the highest coaster of America or the western hemisphere etc etc. especially as Cedar Point is like the flagship park of the company together with Magic mountain… but more Cedar point tbh
There’s white markers, that is a construction zone, it’s over😞
No the are orange not white
There are white ones by lantern and twister but the closest one to ka is by the turtles. I think we will see a tt2 treatment on ka but done right this time
@@nancyfarkas35920:22
@@jacobrotkowitz3978hopefully, maybe a layout extension because there were also pink markers (ground surveying) that could mean new supports and track
@@Coastersandwater hopefully but it’s weird there’s some people commenting that allegedly work for the park and know people at the top when they would have to be at the top to know anything. Even with people saying they know people at the top I’m still leaning towards it being converted. Also apparently there are cranes down by lantern and not by ka so maybe ka will stay alive and be extended into that since with all the pink and white markers by lantern. Fingers crossed 🤞
Going tomorrow to get my rides in. This is absolutely terrible. I hope they open it for its 20th year in 2025, but since ride ops said its closed for good Sunday, RIP
As a coaster enthusiast we don’t know exactly if it’s true but is most likely true, but Falcons Flight, opening in 2025 or 2026 will be taller at 600 something feet tall.
It’s not closing! There is no evidence of that. Stop freaking people out
Workers are saying it’s closing on Sunday. Have not said that the top hat is coming down which is why I believe it’ll become kingda ka 2 with a back spike but who knows. Lantern is definitely done though. In my opinion there is more evidence leaning towards it getting the tt2 treatment
Closing on Sunday by workers is ambiguous. If they say it's closing, does they mean for the season? Or are they just going by hearsay? I find it bizarre that there hasn't been an official announcement by Six Flags up until this day, 11/10/24, by Six Flags like I hear from other parks when they close a ride down.
bro it's not
I hate speculation and rumors
Don’t think they will
This is the worst idea.😊
Def not closing. Stop putting false info out
At this point, their silence on social media speaks very loudly
@@TheCoasterSpot Hey there, I have a theory about this. Might sound silly but hear me out...'cuz I think this went over a lot of peoples' heads. It took me a couple views to realize what SF was actually doing: A few days ago the main Six Flags instagram page (NOT the SFGAdv one) posted a reel about Fright Fest ending. The caption read "...who's already counting down to NEXT YEAR?" The reel shows clips of scare actors and haunted attractions from several SF parks including GAdv. The ONLY ride that is featured in that reel is Kingda Ka. Could it be that was their confirmation Ka will be hanging around at least for next season? I mean, they've made cryptic posts in the past. I definitely think it was some kind of message but would be nice if they could be as transparent as Jeffree Star. Just a little transparency would be appreciated, lol.
Stop spreading false information
My girlfriend threw up on me on that ride several years ago
Cool story, bro
What a waste of a ride to close kinda ka they better replace her with the biggest drop coaster ever I know falcon flight in dubi will be the biggest fastest but replace her wit a great ride
OMG IM HOING ON SATURDAY THANK GOD

@WIldDan96 nothing personal, just business
@WIldDan96 I hope they can keep the skeleton and get RMC to convert it
@@WIldDan96I’m fine with them removing it but doing it with no announcement is not right at all
Top Thrill 2 treatment would not be a mistake unless they get Zamperla to do it
I’ve been on the ride 71 times in one day multiple times. I love this ride. I will be crying a lot. Six Flags upper management and CEO are very shortsighted and greedy
i think removing a legendary and famous ride that brings in a lot of people, but costs more than it's bringing in, is actually the opposite of shortsighted. it'll make lots of people mad in the short run but in the long run it's a good idea. just wish they could've given us a heads up
@ they’re disrespecting us and they’re shortsighted by not telling us and not making an announcement, they’ll make so much money if they had one whole year of last year of the ride people around the world
@ in that respect, yeah i agree. but i don't imagine they were even planning on removing it until the merger in the summer
@ the new CEO has not even visited Six Flags great adventure completely disrespect respect, tallest and fastest ride in the world. That people will travel around the world to visit all year next year if it was open. They would make up the million dollars in maintenance for all the people that traveling to ride it one last time. It was open for one more year and announced it.
@@isaiahginder1760you’re exactly right. I was planning a trip for next year when I heard it might be closing. I’ve never ridden it but it’s a bucket list coaster….if they trash it, I won’t make a point to get out to Great Adventure anytime soon. Not much aside from maybe El Toro that really would drive me to go out of my way to that park (aside from Ka).
When Top Thrill Dragster was in its original form. It was better than Kingda Blah Anyway. Especially when it came down to the Safety Restraint Systems between the 2 Coasters.
Kingda Ka *IS* sfga! They get rid of it, I ain't going back.

I see so many comments about this allegedly getting the TT2 treatment. I hope not! TT2 is an epic failure and it really didn't need to be rebuilt just because someone almost died at its predecessor.
That tragic accident wasn't why they converted Dragster to TopThrill2, if it was then they would have just simply modified the trains and/or covered the line to prevent that and reopened it otherwise unchanged. To put it simply they didn't need to overhaul the ride like they did if that was the only reason.
For comparison The Smiler at Alton Towers had a much worse accident with two trains colliding, and that ride didn't get scrapped or converted.
*Instead* it was the straw that broke the camel's back for Dragster, the ride was a technical headache for almost two-decades with reliability problems, the down-time brought about by that accident gave the park a chance to re-evaluate what to do with a ride that has been a headache for so long.
Considering that Kingda Ka is a very similar ride to Dragster and has had similar reliability problems and upkeep costs, it only makes sense that they'd consider the same option here. Here it has nothing to do that.
Once TT2 opens next year and is a huge success it will no longer be an epic failure. There is a chance Zamperla gets another shot at this with Ka.
Everyone who rides it says it’s incredible but it has been down for a while
@@LMBcoasters yeah, that’s because cedar fair cheaper out and went with zamperla instead of intamin
