For the past month or so I've been struggling to make a decklist good enough to even get z-arc out alone. You've managed to make him plus multiple negates. Thank you for the very educational video for us who are still trying to make pendulums work even against things like swordsoul!
Just play endymion, its a pendulum that has great synergy with spellbook, it's my favorite deck by far, it breaks sword soul and other tier 1 decks. And is balanced vs most other decks
@@kevinsaputra7363 theres a fusion spell (parrallel synchro fusion) or something. It can use the graveyard but the catch is the fusion monster needs to have a synchro in it's materials. This requires you to have summoned a xyx, fusion, pendelumn, and synchro dragon but this enables you to get out zarc for a board wipe for odd eyes decks.
I would've surrendered when the astrograph magician came out a third time. I could've made 3 sandwiches, changed 2 diapers and took a nap by the time the turn ended

this is a cooler way, than swordsouls and virtual world… but i agree, negate boards kinda make the game no fun. that’s why i just play decks that i think are fun and don’t give the negate boards a chance to play just scoop right when they start lol
I quit yu gi oh so long ago when I got top doller for the cards I had. It has nothing to do with sucking the game has changed so much where 1 card does this its no fun and the game is trash when everyone jumps on the banwagon. It's fun to watch people quit thats why I watch these types of videos.

This game is so fundamentally broken and so far removed from what used to make it enjoyable. No disrespect to Trif, there's a clear skill in thinking up something this crazy, and kudos to him. I'm just struggling to cope with the fact that one of my favorite pieces of my childhood has now devolved into this 1 turn, five-minute-plus-setup, don't let your opponent play, solitaire-like garbage. Where did the interaction go? The back and forth? The struggle? The magic of it all? Sorry for any negativity. Not trying to be a douche. I just miss the actual card game - you know, two people actually playing for more than two turns. I don't understand how anyone in their right mind finds this fun or interesting anymore
At least if Konami supported Rush Duels more this wouldn't be so aggravating. We all know they won't suddenly inject cards that break boards like this with ease and they won't suddenly ban most of the omni-negates that turned this game into a "oh you didn't draw your uncounterable Raigeki? GG scrub" game.
I feel the same the only required skill now for the most part is elarning the combos adaption responding etc arent relevant anymore most players just do the same thing every duel no mather what the opponent has on the field
The interractions is in the hand traps, the baiting of negations, or the breaking of your opponent board piece by piece like a puzzle. I love it when "old school" players always pretend long combos can't miss, fail, or have lock down restriction during its half-way point. Also I just love it when people pretend old ygo doesn't have games where both players set, pass, rinse and repeat for half an hour or so due to how bricky and inconsistent deck building was back in the day. Remember when DAD is the only deck viable and cost 350$ per copy? Or when everyone and their mom play chaos? Yeah right, beat down deck really take skills to make. "I'll put all the big chungus in my deck and attack for game". Skillful? Interactable? Yet it was the meta of early cave man ygo. And you want us to play like that for 25 years? Remember a gazillion flood gates like vanity, imperial, royal oppression being in the game back then? Gosh I'm glad we're not going back there again. Just a friendly reminder, by saying "it doesn't require skills anymore" you basically dismiss the successes of every modern ygo regional, national and world champs. Sure, I doubt you can pilot a deck a tenth as good as the top dogs, but I'll let you slide with that. And well, if you miss "old school" that much, Goat format exist for players like you. You can go there and have the fun you miss instead of crying about a game where you doesn't understand anymore and not willing to adapt to it. Hey, maybe try taking off that pink glasses of nostalgic bias and you can have some fun too.

I remember playing against someone playing a deck based on Z-ARC. He even played into it as if he was an anime villain whilst playing, was pretty entertaining too. ...Until he realised I was running Buster Blader. He didn't like the effect of "Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman." 1 "Buster Blader" + 1 Dragon monster Must be Fusion Summoned. Cannot attack directly. Gains 1000 ATK/DEF for each Dragon monster your opponent controls or is in their GY. Change all Dragon monsters your opponent controls to Defense Position, also Dragon monsters in your opponent's possession cannot activate their effects. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. After, I played him with Hieratic Dragons and it became a much more fun Duel. :)
Just supreme king. In the TCG, I'd think this is even easier when you have 3-of all the magicians at your disposal. The Chicken game and Upstart Goblin honestly seemed like filler after seeing what he did on screen.
The thing is you actually don’t really need to bring out more than 2/3 powerhouses monsters alongside ash or a good trap Because if you exaggerate you actually lose time and most importantly a combo of the following: dark ruler no more or a couple lava golems or forbidden tears or super polimerazation can still wreck your board and there are many players on higher tiers who do build decks just to do that. I find what’s most important in a first turn isn’t to try to negate everything the opponent can do but gain a good enough vantage point in both field and number of cards in hands that you can win in the following few turns. So I think it’s most effective to keep a couple of monsters to summon on your following turn instead of rushing and summoning each one and almost all of your extra deck. Still the players of this game are capable of the most bullshit combination and I had several times in which he had an hand full of negates and also the one card that could summon a powerhouse I couldn’t orvecome with the two un-negated card I had left.
Tbh the quadratic formula looks easy after watching this combo Edit: after checking my maths revision list I think that the quadratic formula is the least of my worries
Getting Zarc out on the field is already an accomplishment, you don't even have to win the duel because the effort it takes is harder that everyone could ever imagine.

At 5:04 when you pop astrograph sorcerer and add it back to your hand from the extra deck, why does its effect activate in your hand? In other games it doesn’t
He wouldve only been able to get rid of 3 monsters (assuming u have the specific despia fusion) but it would get deleted by either apollo or draco future or borreload. It literally depends on what monster is used to get the fusion.
If you tribute this monster along with another Fusion, Synchro, Xyx and Pendulum monsters like the Four Heavenly Dragons, you can summon Supreme Celestial King Odd-Eyes Arcray Dragon! (the most powerful of all Odd-Eyes Dragon type monsters)
for everyone saying dark ruler no more.. yall are right however you need a follow up after it or its nothing. If you dont have raigeki ( which is at one ), lightning storm or dark hole, or a way to wipe all 5 monsters you cant do anything.

Just supreme king. In the TCG, I'd think this is even easier when you have 3-of all the magicians at your disposal. The Chicken game and Upstart Goblin honestly seemed like filler after seeing what he did on screen.

Some part of me wanted that first guy to bring out Lava Golem, a Kaiju, and a bunch of specific cards that could break that board. Nice moves Triff.
The thing is you actually don’t really need to bring out more than 2/3 powerhouses monsters alongside ash or a good trap
Because if you exaggerate you actually lose time and most importantly a combo of the following: dark ruler no more or a couple lava golems or forbidden tears or super polimerazation can still wreck your board and there are many players on higher tiers who do build decks just to do that.
I find what’s most important in a first turn isn’t to try to negate everything the opponent can do but gain a good enough vantage point in both field and number of cards in hands that you can win in the following few turns. So I think it’s most effective to keep a couple of monsters to summon on your following turn instead of rushing and summoning each one and almost all of your extra deck.
Still the players of this game are capable of the most bullshit combination and I had several times in which he had an hand full of negates and also the one card that could summon a powerhouse I couldn’t orvecome with the two un-negated card I had left.

I know this way of summoning Zarc is more efficient. I prefer using the supreme king dragon cards, because of aesthetics.
Getting Zarc out on the field is already an accomplishment, you don't even have to win the duel because the effort it takes is harder that everyone could ever imagine.

He wouldve only been able to get rid of 3 monsters (assuming u have the specific despia fusion) but it would get deleted by either apollo or draco future or borreload. It literally depends on what monster is used to get the fusion.
