Cameron is my fav bob but I don’t wear it because the hairline is so fake looking. Do u have any options to lighten the synthetic fibers. I love the RW on u. I really could not tell it was a wig. Jill, you look absolutely amazing these days! I was searching for a Cameron Lite review and found you again. Somehow, RUclips keeps losing my subscriptions, ack. I had found one of these on Ebay for a song; the seller didn't know what he had, but when I saw the inside of the cap, I knew instantly it was Cameron Lite, just not sure of the particular blonde shade, but she turned out to be Palm Springs Blonde. I thought if I could get mine to look like yours looks on you, I'd be a happy camper! I admire how you can get such lovely volume in a wig that could tend to be rather lank otherwise. I have never had the original Cameron for comparison, only the Kristi. I did trim the lace because as you showed, there is quite a wide swath of it on this cap. I'm still not sure how I will like the way it wraps the ear tabs because of my glasses I must wear every waking hour, jury is still out on that one. Anyway, you look stunning in this piece! Thanks for all the tips and tricks and educating us on this new version by JR. Yeah I love the silky feeling but I get it. It almost reminds me of oily hair so understand your point of view. It's just, for me, because I love long wigs.. I like to hang on to that silky feeling as long as possible
Wow! That is a real game changer it would be great for someone like me that has hair but it’s dark and I like to wear very blond wigs (ie) shaded biscuit but alas I have a large head perhaps other wig companies will make wafted with a mono part and that truly face framing lace front.
Jill, I tried a Cameron Lite but didn't know what to do with the huge amount of lace at the forehead. Did you trim it on your own head, or put it on a mannikin? Did you use pinking shears (as JR recommends) or...? Any tips? Seriously, the front lace extended at least a couple of inches from the knotting.
OK, this was interesting. I have the original Cameron in 1BRH30 and love it. It is light in itself, 3.3 oz, so the lightness of the new one might not be that noticeable, I am not sure. I like a slightly longer wig for my everyday look, shoulder length. My favorite Jon Renau style is Elle, so I hope they will make something like that in the lighter version. I will definitely look into the Kenra line of products. My two dry shampoos (Wella and Oribe) work well but the Oribe has a very strong perfume odor and I don't like to smell like beauty products, having them compete with my perfumes, so I am looking for something to knock down the shine and not have a strong odor. Also, all of these sprays have alcohol, which scares me a bit, and if you use too much, you can see the powder on the hair fiber. I hope you will review the Zara. I might try the new Zara light so I can trim it and wear it in a ponytail. Palm Springs blonde is a beautiful color. I have five pieces in PS Blonde and several in Venice and can get away with them as they are so cool, and beautifully rooted. Thank you for this review. It stimulated all sorts of thoughts, LOL!
Looks great. I just bought Belle Madame Vivien in Vanilla Root. Still trying to decide if I should keep it. A little blonder than my other BM in Honey mix root. It seems to be more shiny.
Lovely wig, I was just waiting for you to tuck all the hair behind your ears so i could see how that lace works, I have a small head and a small face, can't have to much hair to the front so I do tuck and I mean I tuck all the hair to the back, also, have you tried spray salt?...I have some for human hair but I am afraid to use it on my wigs, I wonder how that would work for volume and texture.
Late to the party here! Can anyone confirm the JR lite wigs are a significantly smaller cap size than the original? My head barely fits the average cap size, so any smaller and it isn’t going to work. So so pretty!
You look absolutely beautiful in the Editor's Pick Elite! I love the Lite wigs by JR, and purchased the Julianne in palm springs blonde, but the lace ended up sitting on top of my hair and it lifted so easily because of that so I felt I had to send it back :-/ I so wish it had regular ear tabs as I love the light version.

Hi Jill, thank you for your videos, great tips for a newbie 😀 I like the idea of using an aerosol hairspray and having looked on your amazon list the Sebastian shaper and re shaper is unavailable. I understand its a spray for bio hair, so can you recommend something similar I could use please. Thank you.
Hello Jill Lynn, I am wondering how long a wig lasts. This one is a good example. Also, I like you do not have a prominent occipital bone on the back of my head. I think that’s the right bone, lol! Also, I have a small head in general. When I looked on Patties pearls, there was an option for different customizations for the wig. How do you feel about the need for customization? I don’t know if it would be a waste for me to order a regular petite wig. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated🙏🌸🥰
Hi Keri! The answer to that varies upon so many variants that it is truly hard to give an answer. I will say the true longevity of a wig kind of blew me away when I first started and knew NOTHING. I thought they lasted quite literally forever with proper care. They do not. They do start breaking down fairly quickly. However, if you wear short wigs....they can last so much longer than the medium / longer length styles.
Hello Dorothy! I tell you in the video before I put on the new one, and you can also find that info down the description area below the video. Thanks for watching today!
My head measurements are exactly yours, all 3. I have finally just shaved, clipped and cut my bio hair off. I've been following Taz's instructions on how to do it. That being said, I know you still have your bio hair to pin up under the cap. I tried on the Cameron Lite and it was HUGE! I was so disappointed. Then I found out that Jon Renau is kind of the opposite to most when it comes to hand tied caps. His are larger than the basic cap not smaller. The exception being the wigs in HD fibers. I thought I saw a video of yours saying that with your measurements, you fall into the petite category. And unfortunately, the Lite series does not come in petite....yet...here's hoping. Anyway, is this wig not too big on you?
I can't afford human hair wigs either. ;) There is a wide range of price points w/ wigs. The key is finding a reputable place to shop online. Highly recommend www.wigsbypattispearls.com Take a look at the brands, and price points! They also have wonderful customer service, so don't hesitate to give them a call. ❤️
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy my problem is that I'm 72 and on a fixed income. I don't see any affordable wigs with the lace and hand tied. I'm balding on top due to age and medications and my hair is very thin. I'll maybe be able to get 1 wig and maybe what accessories I'll need to use with it if it doesn't total more than $175! If not, it'll have to be a $50 wig from Amazon. 😥 I'm a disabled Amy veteran but the VA hasn't helped me with this, although they are very good to me with other health issues.
I've seen you on fb showcasing other piece for other companies. Is this actually you advertising for them or have they taken your videos trying to sell their products 🤔 Just curious because some of those ads have some amazing realistic scalps on their toppers. Thought I should ask so I don't get scammed
Due to the price of these nice wigs, I'm only gonna be able to buy like one a year. Is there a brand you feel like holds up longer than others with moderate use? I say moderate bc with the germ I dont go out as much as i use to. There's a style I like in all the largest name brands you show. I just need to spend that money very wisely. Maybe the money situation will change but for now, no way could I buy more than one 400'ish dollar wig a year.
Im new to wigs and toppers. Only been wearing about a year or so. I think the HD fibers hold up the worst. At least that’s the case with the Raquel Welch line. The thing is, they tend to look fine to other people but they feel off. Like old Barbie hair and this happens fast sometimes in days. I’m going to try the silicon products. But maybe the non HD is the best way to go. A part of me just wants to save up money for a human hair wig that supposedly lasts longer but who knows where the hair is coming from - lots of unethical practices out there.
When, when, when will the Arctic collection be available in the lite series??? 😢😢 for some of us Palm Springs is just not enough, only Sleet will do. And also, yeah, kind of shocked at that hairline. I’ve had lite styles in freaking unrooted 60 and even iced freaking sweet cream (because RW doesn’t make that with a damn root save current events) cos lite styles do not come in freaking Sleet - and I’m a brunette - and they passed for my actual biohair no problem way easier than that hairline there ever would
I always wait for those 30% off sales. ;) Wigs come with a variety of features, which of course reflects their price point. When you wear wigs for awhile you learn which of those features you can live without, and which you need for a comfortable experience. I don't believe that caps like this one are the only ones that will give that great experience. ;)
Its too much for me too - not that I couldn't afford it but just I'd rather have 4 x 100.00 pieces. It helps that I mostly wear pixies! There's something out there for every budget. People know I'm a wig wearer so in a sense I'm not looking for perfection but just to look better put together than I do in my bio hair! If it matters a lot to you that people don't know you're wearing a wig then these expensive pieces may be worth saving for.
I wish wig companies would make their hairlines more realistic looking. We have zigs and zags, and gaps in our hairline. No one has a perfect curve, especially after age 60!
Do the swirl and press every time you put one on, and it will make such a big difference. It will break up the perfect'ness' of it, and it just starts looking imperfect, and better and better as time goes on. You also have to remember, that people simply do not look that closely in the real world. WE do...because we are wig wearers, but average people do not. The more you 'style' your wigs also...will detract from that hairline that you may be focused on. Confidence is key to wig wearing....if you don't' believe it, nobody else will. ;)
I think it is difficult to believe the reviews you do sometimes. Not in a bad way, lol- just sayin’ For some reason your wigs always look fuller and totally different than other reviewers. Maybe because you were a hair stylist for a long time you can just style better. It’s the same thing as Nisha, wigs just magically morphe before your eyes into perfection.
for us who love pixies, I wish JR would make a “ROSE” lite…. I love pixies because it is the eaiest wig to take care of, less “hair” touching any part of your body thus less tangling and frazzled fibers.
I'm an 80's girl too. Love volume! Enjoy watching you.

What was the name of the wig you had on in the beginning of this video?
Hi Miranda! I tell you in the video before I put on the new one....and you can also find that info in the description area below the video. ;)
What was the wig who were wearing at the start of video.
Hello Dorothy! I tell you in the video before I put on the new one, and you can also find that info down the description area below the video. Thanks for watching today!
Beautiful on you
My head measurements are exactly yours, all 3.
I had the same experience with Julianne lite. It was huge on me and I’m a petite/average. I had to exchange for Julianne petite.
What do I do if I can't afford these expensive wigs...especially the human hair. Are there any alternatives besides a $25 wig from Amazon???
I can't afford human hair wigs either. ;) There is a wide range of price points w/ wigs. The key is finding a reputable place to shop online. Highly recommend www.wigsbypattispearls.com Take a look at the brands, and price points! They also have wonderful customer service, so don't hesitate to give them a call. ❤️
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy once again, great advice from you. Thanks, Jill!!!
@@robintaylor4604 I hope you find something that works for you and your bank account. ;). Wigs are addicting....and boy do I get the struggle! ha!
Check out Paula Young wigs
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy my problem is that I'm 72 and on a fixed income. I don't see any affordable wigs with the lace and hand tied. I'm balding on top due to age and medications and my hair is very thin. I'll maybe be able to get 1 wig and maybe what accessories I'll need to use with it if it doesn't total more than $175! If not, it'll have to be a $50 wig from Amazon. 😥 I'm a disabled Amy veteran but the VA hasn't helped me with this, although they are very good to me with other health issues.
Pantene has a good alcohol free hairspray I like!
I would like to know the price of the Wigs you present.....they re looking so amazing ....Kisses from germany.
Links are always provided in the description area below the video. Thanks for watching! 😀
Daniel, Sit down before you look at Jon Renau hand tied wigs. I only buy them because I need that size, and they charge extra!!
I've seen you on fb showcasing other piece for other companies. Is this actually you advertising for them or have they taken your videos trying to sell their products 🤔 Just curious because some of those ads have some amazing realistic scalps on their toppers. Thought I should ask so I don't get scammed
Hello Maggie. NO...The only place you will find any of my videos is on my channel here. That is a scam. STAY FAR AWAY!!
@@MyLifeInTheDesert Seriously, do not go HD. They're a waste of money. They frizz and are actually a rip-off.
You would look great in a paper bag…..as long as it is Palm Springs blonde.
When, when, when will the Arctic collection be available in the lite series??? 😢😢 for some of us Palm Springs is just not enough, only Sleet will do.
And also, yeah, kind of shocked at that hairline. I’ve had lite styles in freaking unrooted 60 and even iced freaking sweet cream (because RW doesn’t make that with a damn root save current events) cos lite styles do not come in freaking Sleet - and I’m a brunette - and they passed for my actual biohair no problem way easier than that hairline there ever would
both wigs look beautiful on you Jill but 400.00 is alot money
I like the look of the JR better than Rachel Welch’s lace wig hairline. Much more realistic looking.
Much better length
Looks beautiful on you but this does not look like a low density wig. LOL
That's so kind, Keri...thank you!
for us who love pixies, I wish JR would make a “ROSE” lite…. I love pixies because it is the eaiest wig to take care of, less “hair” touching any part of your body thus less tangling and frazzled fibers.
That would be amazing! I am hoping he will add additional styles to the "Lite" collection down the way!
I love pixies too but I like the height that a little permatease gives them at the crown - not sure about a flatter look.
