Québec pourra toujours se vanter d'avoir eu le meilleur show de 20 minutes jamais vue...ever... Fallait être là. J'ai revue les Foo Fighters en 2018, j'en ai pas tant gardé de souvenirs. Mais le show de 20 minutes de 2015, je m'en souviens comme si c'était hier soir.
Now, imagine there being no rain at all...just a little thunder. Imagine the guitar buildup is going on, and the second the drums go off for Everlong to get going, ALL OF THE RAIN COMES DOWN. And you wouldn't believe it, the crowd erupted louder than any crowd I've ever been a part of. It was like everyone in the park realized how cool that moment was...just the banging of the drums going off in unison with the rain coming down....
It was nuts. Like some sort of religious fucking experience. That's honestly the best way I can put it.

I was there that night with my girlfriend. We drove from Toronto to see them and Keith Urban. The weather was beautiful on the Friday, when we saw Keith Urban play. But on the Saturday, the day the Foo's were playing, we heard about the possible storm, but we thought "meh." Big mistake. I remember looking around at the hills packed with people. The place was gonna erupt when the Foo's went on. There was barely a drop of rain falling, despite the huge dark clouds hovering above us. And imagine this for a second, cuz it'll give you chills if you're picturing it the way I witnessed it. It's dark outside, 40,000 screaming people across hills and a beautiful field. The lights go out and the roar is just building. My girlfriend and I are looking at each other and yelling, "HOLY SHIT!" And then the opening guitar starts playing for Everlong and the crowd goes NUTS.

C'était epic.
I was there with my mom and brother, this was my first time going to a festival and the Foo Fighters had played that day. Now let me tell you, listening to them with the rain pouring down.... Was a religious fucking experience I've never had before. You could tell the people were getting into it a lot, the main guy shouting out something about the rain was nothing (but obviously it was canceled). But the thing is, I wore flip flops. It was slippery as fuck, and I felt like I was going to slip- especially with all the people jammed together and trying not to get separated from each other (mom and bro) and also waiting in a line long on the bus (which btw was a metro bus and we lived quite far). I also remember a guy who had to get off to throw up. Not to mention how hot it was inside the bus.
It was the best and worst night ever.
It was epic.
i remember what he sais at that moment: we're sorry, it's getting too dangerous!
Thanks for the epic return Foo Fighters. No natural special effects this time, but you definitely rocked our world until midnight and a few seconds past!! You kept your promise and fully delivered. I will always remember the thunderous performance of 2015. More so of your triumphant return!
