- Rise Festival - Thousands of Sky lanterns float outside of Las Vegas. It's just like "I See the Light" scene from the movie Tangled where Rapunzel and Flynn watched and released their own floating lanterns.
Seeing the floating lanterns should be on your guys bucket list.

If you miss the Rise Lantern Festival, there's also another lantern festival in the U.S.A called "The Lantern Fest" and another one called The Lights Fest.

yea, and so is a Mc.Donalds bag u throw out your car window in a year. Doesnt matter, its still litter being sent all over peoples property, and can cause fires.

I was there 4th year in a row. The lanterns burn out pretty quickly.
Cant wait til they come to philly june 20th
WE did it once a year at Taiwan. But someone accidentally set the forest on fire with it. Not sure if it’s abandoned now.

Beautiful, but is that safe?
It is. The process is greenlighted by the fire marshal and this normally happens in the middle of the desert and clean-up occurs as best they can afterwards.

"Located in the Mojave Desert about 32 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
The venue sits on the Moapa River Indian Reservation just behind the Moapa Travel Plaza off exit 75 on I-15."

Are these for the victims of the music festival shootings?
No. Its an annual event in Vegas and elsewhere in the world. They did honor the victims at this one though but this event happens annually.

Anytime :) This kind of event happens all over the world and check your city, it might be near you too. Alot of different groups are trying to put them on.

There are 3 lantern festivals I know of! RiSE (in this video), the Lantern Fest, and The Lights Fest. I've been to the same one in the video for 2 years now. This was their 4th straight year holding this. RiSE is only in Vegas, I know the Lantern Fest is held in Vegas, and the Lights Fest is all over California, but I heard that one isn't as beautiful as the other 2 mentioned. It's a beautiful event & I definitely recommend experiencing this once!

"The lanterns are 100% biodegradable. We will recover 100% of the lanterns plus any additional litter we find in the landing area as part of our commitment to leaving the area better than we found it."

So I checked out their website and they said they the lanterns are 100% biodegradable and also the organization will be cleaning up the surrounding areas of litter and any lanterns they find to "leave The area better off than it started" ☺️
these things caused the CA wildfires. i like how everyone who participated in this event has been so hush-hush about this possibility. people will do anything to avoid the feeling of guilt. humans disgust me.
