Hi Bruce, thank you for clarifying, but i believe many people bought this during the 11-11 sale like i did. Do you think all of those ones are the new type? Mine sounds so good it may be just a little thin on the mids. Is there any iems out there to compare the hidizs to and can say which version i have? Hidizs says they cannot tell me with certainty. Thanks
So you're saying there are some Chi-Fi companies who secretly change sound signatures or some other quality of their product from the review copy to retail to make reviewers hype their product? As if it's not the common practice in the past 3 years or longer? *GASP* If you have doubts compare measurements or order a third pair or ask other reviewer's pair or a friend's pair and compare and re-measure it. For me since the dawn of KZ the general rule of Chi-Fi is to always doubt Chi-Fi companies no matter how good or "established" they are because there is no such thing as "established" brand in Chi-Fi, there are no "good" brands there is only brands who cuts less corner.
@@MichaelBruceShortbus I see, even when they go up in price the standard isn't raised if I understand properly. That blows, I wonder if this also applies to the s15
How would you compare soundstage of revised version with the og,and maybe compare revised version with supermix 4.Bear in mind that You can find mp145 for under 100usd now,and sm4 for a little above 100. Best Regards
Hello, I got question here. You said you had Paul's unit that he measured, but have you tried measure it again on your rig? Because the graph you shown is his. In my opinion, there might be more or less differences in comparison when using your own measurement rig.
@@MichaelBruceShortbus Thank you, also do you think it can be because of highly variance of planar driver? Like I heard it is very difficult to tune every units the same because of this characteristic? Pardon me, I don’t really have much knowledge in this area
I sniped one on Amazon for just $89 sold by Hidizs. I think someone fucked up and marked it down too much (25% and another -$61) 😂 Thought I'd try it out for that price. Looking forward to measuring my unit when I get my 711 coupler set up
Far too much speculation here, and far too little data. All there is is one guy found 1 unit which did not blow his ass so far out of his ass as the other unit did
@@MichaelBruceShortbus hey buddy, I can't begin to explain how grateful I am that someone in this hobby is willing to say it how it is when he is well aware there will be blow back. Thank you! When you make a change without informing people we assume it had a negative impact. Not to mention it makes it impossible to rec unless everyone takes their sets apart.
If there is any lack of components it would be better just to stop producing more products than just to keep selling them with different ones that can change the final result/ output. These types of things can destroy a companys reputation. At the very least these changes should be made noticed to customers before they buy the product. This "silent revision" thing is such bs.
PS. I don't know about you but aren't you tired of these companies doing this crap all the freaking time. I'm serious I don't even want to buy anything anymore for at least 6 months to a year. I really feel like waiting because you never know what crap is going to end up freaking coming out. It's constant and it's not just this company. I'm serious no more it's such BS

Hi there.
How to tell which unit one has gotten like difference in sound profile of new version and old?

do other planars like s12 exibit the same amount of variance? or is the variance particularily large with mp145
They all have massive variance.

So should I buy it? On Amazon it is sold from Linsoul or from Hidizs.
yup! back in the swing of things

I accidentially overwrote it sadly. Here is the thing: these sets do not sound the same, and the graphs show a bit of why.

I bought Simgot Em6L , it’s a great set but I still enjoy EA500 more … waiting for you to do your proper MOD on Mp145
Why you prefer ea500 over Em6l
@@fuzailkhanazmi2135 cos it’s more punchier than El6l
What i already order just 3 days ago!!!
This is the biggest fear of mine when it comes to online reviews. IEMs and TWEs knock-offs are really annoying but this is another level of dodgy.
I ordered early during the kickstarter campaign and the set that I got sounds exactly as advertised. No thinness, just warm thick planar done right.
Killer, you know it when you hear it right?! It's very obvious tbh.

Incorrect, 3 sets total. And talking to people that own them as well.

some people from certain fb groups say its just different colors for the mesh no different materials but now i see the graphs and thats concerning
Fact is they changed the black damper to white. That means they DID Change the Tuning. They can deny all they want. It's still 'Bait and Switch'
Did he use his ears?
2-4 db's is enough to sound completely different.....just sayin
Over large parts, its a huge deal.

Reminds me of the KZ HBB PR2 drama, they took out the mesh after people highly praised the set.

I'd almost clicked the buy button. I would buy fudu instead. Hidizs are already actung like kz already.
The Fudu is a really good pair
