I have known Angell Studio for a long time because their dolls are very beautiful and I also follow them on the social networks. I have never purchased from them but I didn't know that their service was that bad. You did well to stick to what you wanted and I'm sorry you didn't get what you expected. The doll is very beautiful and maybe you can keep it, put on an outfit that you want and sell what you don't like. 😉
They make such beautiful dolls. I know things happen. I could only wish it was handled better. The best way to avoid it can be to purchase it right away rather than towards the end of a release date, but sometimes it isn’t possible with budgeting.
I wouldn’t discourage anyone from buying from them. I just think they need to be prepared.
Their dolls are very beautiful but the company it self is very hard to communicate with, even when you can understand some chinese and use taobao. (They have official shop there too)
I only own a set of outfit from angell studio but got struggled a bit while trying to order them through taobao too. They are a company that I prefer purchase an in stock item or get a dealer to deal with them for me 😅

I went through their English site because I had seen everything sell out really fast on TB. They are definitely one of the more popular brands in China, but most of the ones I know of are customized dolls. I didn’t mind dealing with them directly because going through a dealer can be like playing telephone. Luckily I have moved on from that aesthetic. I believe it’s always better to go in eyes wide open. Some of their more popular sets will sell out, so not sure what I will see in stock. I know Fabric and Friends is an US dealer, but I have also heard mixed things about them.
Ha, sucks they aren't what you hoped for. I heard previously that their communication wasn't great so I never considered buying from them directly. I think their dolls are otherwise beautiful. But I got mine secondhand, so no surprises :D
Yes I was hoping it would be better. I think they did their math wrong and kept selling without communicating with both their domestic and international sales. The convenience of secondhand is that you know what has already been received. I am glad you enjoy yours!
