She tried to PUT ME DOWN for doing Uber Eats...McDonalds Staff were SHOCKED!

  • Whilst I was waiting to collect an Uber Eats order in McDonalds this woman decided to slam into me from behind knocking me off balance. The customers in McDonalds were shocked by what they saw and I asked them "Did you just see that?" they all said yes and that she was probably drunk, so I decided not to react as it wasn't worth it. Whilst waiting for her order she decided to start talking to me asking strange questions related to my age, what I was doing and why I was doing deliveries. At first I thought it was just some weird way of chatting me up but I quickly realised that I was her target to try and put me down...little did she know that I'm Gig Hustle.

    What you didn't see on camera is that this woman slammed into the back of me whilst I was waiting for my order and never apologised. She didn't even look at me. All the customers in McDonalds were shocked by what they saw and said she's probably drunk...so I just left it alone and thought that maybe she didn't realise (very unlikely). However she started staring at me and was looking for her opportunity to start talking to me, it was clear from the intent and the way she spoke to me that she was trying to make me feel bad for doing deliveries. When she realised that she couldn't get a reaction out of me...she walked away. It's crazy how she targeted me...there were other drivers/riders picking up orders, I guess she thought I was an easy target...how mistaken she was. This was 100% the craziest shift I've ever done.

      This is why I hate double standards. If it was a guy I would have checked their behaviour. Say anything in this situation you’d be cancelled. Also no offence, but you’re way too kind to people, you’ll be taken advantage of by people who know you and strangers. You should have told her its none of her business and that she was making you uncomfortable. Her being drunk is not an excuse.

      I feel sorry for her, people belittle others and put them down because they are not happy with there own life.

      Cars with dents in the back of their car are usually a sign that they are not the best drivers. Just a few days ago I was merging into a lane in my van and a car from behind me overtook me as we were merging...he was quite close to my van. I think Stuart has been taken over mostly by Scoober (Just Eat) in London. Stuart operates most likely in smaller pockets in London. So I don't think they will hire many people because there aren't as many orders. Scoober didn't really work in Nottingham so Stuart has all the orders again pretty much from what I understand!
      Stuart operates in many cities where it's like this. Some of the bigger cities have moved to Scoober.

It’s just frustrating because if anything gig economy work the pay has gone down whereas min wage has increased so the gap has shrunk, gig economy work deffo needs regulating in terms of pay cos atm deliveroo or Uber or JE can pay what they like it doesn’t matter to them as long as people are willing to do it. • @GigHustle
      @GigHustle  2 года назад

      I know the pain you experienced! I've never contacted Uber support on a live order...last time I tried that the phone line was dead. I think there is an option to cancel the order due to item being damaged...I would probably do that because I don't think Uber has a live support. Maybe I would try ringing the support line first but otherwise I would do the cancellation. As long as you don't do this too often it should be all good. The customer can't thumbs you down either. If you are spilling drinks often (I guess you've fixed that) then that needs to be addressed. I've got a bag setup to deal with hot drinks from McDonalds, just need to fill the extra space where it would move around in the bag.
