What you didn't see on camera is that this woman slammed into the back of me whilst I was waiting for my order and never apologised. She didn't even look at me. All the customers in McDonalds were shocked by what they saw and said she's probably drunk...so I just left it alone and thought that maybe she didn't realise (very unlikely). However she started staring at me and was looking for her opportunity to start talking to me, it was clear from the intent and the way she spoke to me that she was trying to make me feel bad for doing deliveries. When she realised that she couldn't get a reaction out of me...she walked away. It's crazy how she targeted me...there were other drivers/riders picking up orders, I guess she thought I was an easy target...how mistaken she was. This was 100% the craziest shift I've ever done.

Hey jay I was thinking about getting into delivering food on my bike I just wanted to know if you would recommend a mountain bike, hybrid or road? Thanks for the content.
Hi Zak! I have always used my MTB style bike and it works well. The tires are thick enough to absorb coming off kerbs or onto them frequently. Plus you sometimes come off road and that helps! You don't want really fat tires either because of the friction and weight. Road bikes work fine but I think the slightly thicker tires do help with this work. If you are looking for an electric bike my dad has an electric bike shop for over 20 years or even if you just need advice you can send me an email - my email is in the description :)
My friend does this he making Average of 30 or more an hour. I consider doing it as a side hustle. That Lady must be a miserable individual.
$30 or £30?
@@GigHustle hourly pay with tips comes up to 25 - 30$ an hour. It’s not always consistent but pretty close.
We live in Orlando Florida
When is your video coming out today
In 3 minutes!
Lol im almost 30, done with college and do deliveries. But i work with foreign exchange kids too
Just out of curiosity what is the foreign exchange kids about? Do you show them around your city or something like that?
Quite a few Restaurants treat delivery drivers like crap. You’re making money for them and they disrespect you and your time.
22:05 Only a fool, breaks the 2 second rule. Take it easy.
Don't forget he's using a GoPro on wideview - it might look a lot closer than it actually is?
Regardless of the GoPro, he was close enough to make contact.
@@thegrowl2210 I mean at whatever speed, if somebody brakes like that so harshly you’re going to hit them really
Before any “shouldn’t have stopped like that comments: there’s a very poorly visible box junction there.
@@fetchstixRHD I can only assume the driver didn’t know the roads of Nottingham well as they might be new to the area and spotted it last second and then didn’t spot Jay, it was very harsh breaking though
hey, how many mobile data do you need to do dileveroo
I have about 10GB a month for everything including Deliveroo. It's enough for me but unlimited data is pretty cheap nowadays!
Where's this?
Nottingham, UK
Good is that old Bike batteries can be re-celled and also most can be changed to another type battery.
Battery rebuilding should only be done by a person who knows what they are doing or a company.
My dad should be pretty good at that but I would have no clue haha
@@GigHustle I do those also but ilve in Finland so cant much help UK people, last was old Phylion XH370-10J what had ages old prismatic style 10ah lipo cells and those are rare to find so i 3d print custom interior for 18650 cells and need use orginal bms.
Price was about half from new and senior citizen was happy.
Did you get her number ?
You crazy? haha
It doesn't sound like she was putting you down
She wasn’t saying it in a bad way maybe saying there’s more opportunities wouldn’t take it as disrespect. Maybe telling you in a indirect way to chase your dreams and aspirations
Stop being so soft
Anyone else notice deliveroo has dropped their pay
They have been providing a £1-1.50 boost though?
I mean, she probably makes her money in a nefarious way so of course she needs to make herself feel better
Had to look up nefarious haha
you need to wait outside the busiest places to get orders quickly
Its crazy how people judge others by what they do
Everyone job is important in my opinion
Jay question. Is a rucksack a bad thing to have on your back if your ever Actually involved in an accident. Is it safer to use a rack. I use a rack for comfort and safety.
It's more personal choice I think mate. I prefer a backpack as it's more stable for drinks etc. I believe my body absorbs the bumps more. However it's probably healthier to have the rack...or maybe it's making my back stronger haha.
Have you ever gone online on Uber Rider and not get any jobs for several hours?
When I first started yes!
Is it legal to ride scooter in london? I think it's much better to do so.
17:18 if it is already leaking, before you even get it in the delivery bag. Why not take it back to the restaurant and have them check the drink?
It wasn't leaking when I put this into my bag at McDonald's mate. If you look back at this timestamp...I was showing a small cut of me getting the bag out when I was at the customer. You can see that the ground is different from the customer to when I put the bag in from McDonald's. I understand why you would of thought that but you just needed to pay attention to what was going on. All good though!
Delivery is for anybody some these people make more money then the average person doing a retail job , there time is money good on them wish anybody working hard all the best I have so much respect for anybody who works hard and puts the effort in
She didnt say "so what is it you're doing now then", she asked "so what age are you now then"
Is 22 degrees in england in the summer really that strange?
Hey bro what brand is your bag?
Stuart Delivery!
I get that just eat give you shifts and roo you can log on anytime but roo paying £2.90 for short trips and just eat paying £5 for short trips is scandalous! Just eat even used to pay better at £7 per order but still beats the shit out of roo which has now become pointless, basically slave labour
I see this work as more of a side hustle. It's extra money that I wouldn't have got otherwise...watching Netflix etc etc.
The e bike riding saves so much money from gas its already profitable by efficiency in the city compared to a gas car. Best idea to have a spare fully charged battery for the e bike.
@@GigHustle yh mate I see your point but loads of people use gig economy work as their living, and using all three apps (roo Uber JE) it is possible to earn a good wage (better than a min wage job). It’s just frustrating because if anything gig economy work the pay has gone down whereas min wage has increased so the gap has shrunk, gig economy work deffo needs regulating in terms of pay cos atm deliveroo or Uber or JE can pay what they like it doesn’t matter to them as long as people are willing to do it. And that’s the kicker :(
Hi love ur videos and it made me want to start doing delivery so I have just got my account and was gonna start tomorrow but its gonna be closed on Monday and Tuesday so immma start on Wed can you give me some advice pls
Just have fun :)
@@GigHustle thanks
Where did you get your delivery bag from?
Hi pal love your blogs keep safe
I clicked on thinking it’s London and thought that looks like notts (didn’t see the hashtag) and then seen a tram and thought that’s is notts. Been watching London eats snd mr shark last couple of days as I used to work delivering food but in north notts like bestwood top valley Arnold and bulwell but for just eat and wondered what the deal was like with Uber and deliveroo.
You live your life for yourself, not others. It should ne none of anybody’s business what you do.
100% mate!
Please be safe out there fella your job looks realy dangerous on those roads.
It is dangerous which is why I'm surprised it's turned into a minimum wage job. We should be compensated for the risk level. Anyways I appreciate the care towards my safety :)
