- in this video i highlight the latest news that the DWP have been transfering esa claimants over to UC despite the fact this was NOT supposed to happen nor have they informed anyone!

Not again. PLEASE not again. I've only just got my PIP sorted. Took me 10 years to get them to take me seriously. I have muscular damage because I didn't get the support I needed at the time, that could have prevented it.
I spent 20 years trying to get disability benefits from 2001 and managed to get pip in 2020 had a double heart bypass in 2001 and was diagnosed with heart failure in 2004 but was classed as fit for work I was giving sicknotes into dwp every 13 weeks and had to sign on and look for work on what i could do but an employer won't employ someone with heart problems will they I also have meneries disease hearing loss no balance contol i use 2 hearing aids

Me too I'll lose quite a bit of money even though they have cited they will give us some protection.I can't cope with just getting one payment a month .
@@autisticautumn7379You can request a more frequent payment when on UC. It will be decided by a Decision Maker.
We're not supposed to lose any money - not be worse off in dwp speak. We will keep the same payment level at first. Every April when any Benefits increase occurs, we won't get the increase until we've dropped to the basic payment level.
That's not maintaining rates of payment, that's an enforced reduction in real terms over several (I imagine) years. I'm hoping a new government will introduce a better, livable system. Yes, I'm a dreamer.
Universal credit is not a benefit system . It’s a what it states on the tin a credit system .

i dont want to go onto UC i have mental health issues and i forget things and iherd its 5 weeks before you get any moeny what am mentto do for five weeks i dont want to get into debt with my housing
The best thing you can do is put money aside each time you get paid, so you can cover those 5 weeks. That's what I am doing.

If they are taken to court, and hopefully they will be by disability charities, it will be far too late for those affected before a judgement comes through. Then the individuals involved will face no real accountability, the only thing that will happen is the taxpayers will pay the fines and compensation. Which is how it always works with these departments and corporations.

My friend is on Universal Credit, and she gets paid every 28 days,so in June, she was paid twice. So now she is not getting paid her uc as her monthly earnings are over the limit.
Yet when she was on tax credits,getting paid every week, she had no problems in payments.
These people in dwp are ignorant,telling her a manager will phone her on such a day,not to get the phone call.
I myself would complain to ice, but is this just like complaining to the police about the police if you get what I mean.
Dwp, are a total mess, and I would sack the lot of them. See how they like uc

I read in the local paper that May-July is when it will be rolled out in my area. Every time the post comes I dread it. When I heard it was September it eased things a little, but now I am back to being anxious about it. I hate this country.

I received my letter from Pip today. I passed, but only just. I read the scores on what they passed me on wasn't right. It was nothing like what I had told them.
That's good news that you passed. However, it's a little bit poor that you just scraped by and it is not uncommon for them to do what they have done, If you're completely happy with your reward level then don't even challenge them honestly because they will use that as an excuse to remove that benefit. ❤️

@@jonstorey6414 if your happy with the award you have then personally I would not put yourself through it again as appealing is just as bad as receiving it. It's entirely up to you but I wouldn't if it was me , hope that makes sense 😊

They can be liars when it suits them. My local job centre put me on UC all of a sudden early last year, because I had to many fit notes. I think they did me a favour, because I don't have to worry now about moving over. But I still feel they can be devious when they feel the need.
The goal was always to move people over, more control for them, and with a lot of claimants,they get less money on UC.
Labour wont scraoe uc they have already said no , there is no money .

Labour are going to get a shock. They are going to inherit enormous debts and since thousands of Migrants are putting a strain on housing and the benefit system. The Disabled in the UK are the people who will be made to suffer for this. We have NOTHING to thank the Conservatives for at all. We must understand that it’s going to be extremely difficult for Labour to do what they would love to do to help people. Labour are going to need a lot of time and cash to sort out the mess that the Conservatives have left behind them. People will need to be patient this could take more than one term in office to fix this mess.

@@jevand5071 just one part yes. its a step towards the final goal. i dont think all the facts are layed out it will roll out in parts so no one can fully see the end result. i have my suspicions. and predictions. but an educated guess is still a guess. unfortunately i predict hard times ahead. i dont want to cause panic there is little we can do but roll with the punches and pick our fights playing it by ear.

Hope I don't lose money being moved over to uc from esa as I've got enough things to buy to help me with my mental health ,autism,and POTS plus raynauds. I have to buy supplements to help with these problems and eat a healthy diet which is getting expensive.

I’m in the support group for ESA. As far as I know aren’t we due to get UC Migration Letters through our letterboxes anytime soon? I heard it’s been brought forward from 2028 to 2024-2025 when it will all be completed.

Sorry but I moved in with my Wife and we had to get on with it. Her ESA was stopped and I had to claim for us both on UC. The DWP said this year's ago, so unfortunately this is what you get with Labour

I can tell that all the people who applied for disability was reject on the facts that sunak was still going to be pm and this is the reason why they won't say until July 5th

They put my esa on my uc now and deducted it from uc

7th august i got my letter, threatening me to join UC i have been on ESA for 13 years, disabled since birth, only claimed at this point
They have started it in Chesterfield as well
i on legacy esa and i can't even get proper diagnosis my doctor has only diagnosed me with depression and thrown pills at me, i cant get a diagnosis for ADHD or autism or BPD or any of the other undiagnosed mental health issues i have A. because there are too many "woke" idiots that think they have ADHD because they spend too much time on TIKTOK and B. because the NHS hasn't got the funding i asked my doctor to refer me years ago for diagnosis and i have seemingly been forgotten about, i have also had a therapist and after 3 meetings she said "you seem to have everything together" when in reality that could not be further from the truth and she did little to nothing of any value to actually help me
I understand. I've been on awaiting list to see a psychiatrist for almost twenty years. (Not a joke). As it turns out it's not as urgent as my GP suggested, because the initial diagnosis was wrong and my condition was far worse than even I thought, and has left me almost paralysed down one side. I'm now pretty much housebound. I can only wish you good luck.

Hello do you have information regarding the new transition payment that were brought in February. A court ruling last year found the DWP guilty of paying the wrong amount for people who receive the SDP element? Regards John

The Tory DWP is acting in exactly the same way. But this time, the mere thought of the brown envelope landing on your doorstep is enough for people to actually kill themsevles. If this happens, I’m going to tell ESA to shove it up their backsides . I’m sick of them. HMRC changed my tax code in the middle of October without telling me. ESA were straight onto me. I explained that I wasn’t aware and thought the tax code on my pension would only change in March/April. Nope they weren’t having it and fined me £50
I haven’t got a clue how it works, have Asperger’s as well as many physical problems just feel like saying keep it I go on streets.

My wife got the migration letter a few days ago, and we got up to September to migrate she got really bad mental health problems, and this isn't helping make her worse in the Wolverhampton area

This is absolutely disgraceful, I am on legacy benefits and I'm petrified about migrating over. Would love to chat to you about it because I've had a mini stroke and I'm on heavy medication for other things and I feel I would be railroaded and lose what I should get. Oh i know who you are ;-) a cheeky little stalker here
How do you know if you have been moved over to uc
you would have got confirmation and payments would be monthly into your account but you should have got a breakdown in the post of your payments going forward etc, plus a guidance to go online and register for a UC account etc. if you have none of these then there is a good chance its on the legacy benefits still.
we are all going to be on uc oneday thats been the plan form the start but late rolling it out to everyone
