I know I shouldn't take the test seriously due to how monitors don't show colors accurately, but some of those like light red/grey ones were very hard to see for me and made me a bit worried lol
@@mimrora looks like some sort of wheel. Some of those colour tests usually have pages where there are no numbers at all, or in this case, no openings. To make sure you aren't just guessing.
@@mimroraot sure myself. I can only describe it as a circle of blue blobs at best. I'm not colour blind I had tests done when I was an apprentice electrician, but not these ones. Was the more common numbers and letters vsrsions

wow, 10:47 is quite difficult. I can definitely see that there is something there, but very very difficult to make out. i probably wouldn't be able to tell you what the numbers are
That test is probably easier if you see the pages in person rather than being held up for a video camera. But yeah I couldn't make anything out on it either. I can see there's red dots but I couldn't even guess at the numbers, except I think the bottom right one might've had a 6 in it.
if you see them in person it's much easier. the camera isn't focused on the page, the page isn't lit properly,the angle is off, and your monitor isn't color accurate enough(unless you spent 5k+ on it).
I really like the simplicity of the Ohkuma test, and the range of applicability. No need for familiarity with numbers or letters! Good luck and godspeed in all your endeavors, and thanks for the tingles!
This is so very beautiful, and in so many different ways. The overall energy is deeply quiet and calm. I love these color study tests, because the pacing is naturally slower. There are a few sentences of your gorgeous voice followed by silence as you hold up the plate. This gentle rhythm is so incredibly soothing. And the plates themselves are such a joy to behold. It is such a treat to see some of these older tests. I find them genuinely beautiful, like little works of art. And finally, using your home library as the set just adds to the overall tranquility. Whenever I see a library of any type it brings up all of these sense memories of the hush and peaceful page turning and whispered voices that I associate with all libraries. I have always experienced major ASMR in libraries, and so having you pulling that element into this video adds yet another layer of serenity. I love your work so much Doctor. Thank you so much for all of the time and dedication and hard work that I know goes into every single one of these. 🙏

I think it's been a year or so since I've discovered this ASMR channel due to some trouble falling asleep. Now I click on any new videos I see of SRP . Even thought I wasn't planing on falling asleep , his voice and visual tests are just so relaxing.
Could you do a video explaining what causes different colour deficiencies? I'm colour blind but never really understood how there seems to be no cure, or no one even looking for one.
There's different causes for color blindness. It's sort of like "the cure for cancer" - since there's different types of cancer there can't possibly be just the one single cure for cancer in general, so there can't be a cure for color blindness - there's different types and tons of different causes. I would assume that, since the most common kind of color blindness is genetic, that's why there's no cure. It's like how there can't be a "cure" for having blue eyes or red hair or a long big toe. It's hardwired into your genes, you can't cure something that's genetic. Apparently some types of colorblindness CAN be cured, but the inherited/genetic types can't be.

I've been watching your videos for a couple months now, you've quickly become one of my favorite ASMR channels, and I have to ask, are you an actual optometrist or do you just happen to have a lot of interest and a large collection of optometry tools and such?
I do like the color vision tests. Simple and relaxing. The ones at 10:50, you showed four plates, and I did not see any numerals at all in them. My only criticism is that when the plates are held up for viewing, they are not held long enough. This causes me anxiety, because I am under pressure to look and decide quickly before it is taken away. In the Ohkuma's cards and the Pflugertrident plates, they were held only 3-4 seconds each. The older sets were held up longer, which was more calming. The tumbling E's were quite enjoyable, but 5-6 seconds would be better for all, in my humble opinion. Thank you as always SRP.

Is the plate at 3:07 supposed to have a solidish circle? Cause I just see blobs of different color in a circular pattern, I don't think I have any degree of color definicency xD
