it's a bit worse when the rest of the team get paid less because of you, and end up on a team that they cant leave and know they wont be winning, they wont have glory, they are literally treading water till they leave or you fucking figure it out. i can understand why certain teamamates can be unhappy with past russel.
The amount of crap I took from Bronco’s fans when I tried to tell them that Russ did this to himself because his ego convinced him he was the reason for the Seahawks success, that there’s a reason he doesn’t have the expected support from former teammates he went to the Super Bowl with, AND that he exposed the weaknesses the Seahawks hid by demanding to let him ‘cook’.

@@paulbedichek5177 I’m extremely grateful for his time in Seattle, brought our only other championship, which, to that point was the ‘79 Sonics, and they were torn from us by the Devil, Howard Stern & his OKC buddies.
Not to imply anything about his wife, but Russ’ head started inflating around the time he married. Don’t get me wrong, Russ’ charity work and with kids was awesome, but somewhere along the lines, you could see Russ talking about ‘legacy’ and himself rather than the team like he used to when he first arrived. He didn’t seem to understand that our running game not only opened up play action, it also limited his exposure as a passer. Sure the bombs were accurate, that’s because he had time thanks to play action, a punishing running game and the LOB. Once he got what he wanted, to pass 35-40 times a game, it was clear he couldn’t see over the DL, and just bombed down the sideline, he was easy to defend, keep him in the pocket and defend the sidelines. All those 10+ yard sacks started happening more often as his first instinct was to back pedal till he could see.
It’s really a bummer, if not for his ego, his hall of fame chances might still been possible.

It's funny, I was watching a video on a raiders fan channel, and everyone in the comments, including the guy in the video, were really getting hard to convince themselves that Russell going to the raiders would be amazing. They brought up his touchdown to interception ratio and everything. It was very funny.
It might work in LV as they for one, have some actual talent, two could stack a team for a season if Russ decided to play for the league minimum. Free agents galore out there. There’s not a QB in the history of football who could’ve fixed the shitshow they had going on in Denver.

I can't stand Mr. Unlimited as a person, and dude is locker room poison, but being able to secure him for 1 year at The Vet Minimum..? Worth the price. Keep Dalton as #2, and let Bryce be #3 doing nothing more than learning and improving.

@@unc54 Go back and look at the GOAT quarterbacks, fam. Being able to sit for a year or 2 behind a similar style quarterback, whether they actively try to help or avoid you, helped most of them. Bryce was thrown into an impossible situation and the fact that they won 2 games was amazing! He's not Cam and he doesn't have Cam's team. I'd bet a whole lot of $ Bryce is going to be awesome all Offseason and Preseason, then The PTSD from last year kicks in on the 1st real snap of the season and he's going to play scared. I hope that this take is as bad as you think it is, but I wouldn't put any $ on The Panthers the first game or 3.

Almost every team would take Russell Wilson for 1 year at the league minimum. I mean, why not? That's at the bare minimum a great insurance policy if the starter goes down. And because Russ is holding all the cards, I expect Russell to sign at least a two year guaranteed contract that is backloaded in the second year. He is going to want a commitment. Figure Russ making at least 10 million in the second year. This is a quarterback who would start for at least a third of the teams. That would still be a steal.
