Hey Matt, awesome setup you have there! I find it absolutely awesome that you did all the plumbing work yourself, including soldering copper supply lines! Anyway, can you please share what QD fittings you're using for the plate chiller and pot filling water supply lines? I also have the clawhammer system and think both QD setups you have are genius!!! Thanks!🍻
Hey! Taproom is still in planning stages. We do want to do it though, right now we are just looking for the extra cash to rip out the carpet in the basement first and put in some vinyl flooring. We wont be doing any taproom work until that is completed. I would not expect this any time soon, but hopefully not too far in the distant future.
i think the check valve has more to due with type and installation than the brand. having air on one side and water on the other builds alot of pressure. Your installation below the sink should be liquid full 100% of the time on both sides. Much easier on the check.
its very possible the installation was not correct considering its the first time I have done this. One thing was is when I took the old check valve out the flap was bent in between the gasket which made me think that the flap just needed to be bigger so there would be no way for that to go backwards. The Ace Hardware one I bought seemed to be alot more robust.

Good looking setup!
Thanks, was alot of fun to build out.
What’s the plan for the taproom? I’m excited and looking forward to a similar build series for taproom. Great content, cheers!
