When Jack and Mary arrive at their new farm house Jack tells Mary about the animals...there's a horse, Mel Blanc does a horse, there's a cow, Mel does a cow, there's a dog, Mel does a dog, there's a chicken, Mel does a chicken, there's a Jackass, Mel says..."How do you do". There was an absolute explosion of laughter in the audience.
The first time I heard the "Egg and I" sketches (they did it twice I believe), it sounded like they actually had Marjorie Main playing Ma Kettle. However, they gave no special guest acknowledgment. I just heard the second version of the sketch again and I realized it was actually Elvia Allman playing Ma Kettle. She did an amazing job of impersonating Marjorie Main.
