    The Mexican cream guavas is a natural fruit dessert. It's very good. I can see why it's your favorite type of guava.

      @@TropicalGardenGuy Did you grow these from seeds? I'm trying to grow some. The company that I bought the seeds from said that there were no other guavas on their property or nearby to cross pollinate them. Should I believe that?

    You have an exceptional Mexican Cream. My Mexican Cream from LaVern nursery (purchased from Lowes) has small fruits the size of man's big toe.

    Mexican guave is my favourite fruit since I've tried it in Yucatán. It is so delicious. Sadly I cannot get them in Germany (if they are available here, answer to my comment where I can buy them), but this may motivate me to visit Mexico again ;)

    Hi Jeff, love the Mexican cream guava tree you have. Where did you buy it ? I’m looking for one that is air layered if possible. I don’t want to have to wait 5/6 years for fruit.

    Good quality looking fruit Jeff. What month does it start flowering for you i.e. how long do the fruit take roughly from flower to ripe fruit ?

    • @TropicalGardenGuy
      @TropicalGardenGuy  Год назад +2

      Thanks Brett , It can flower any month.
      But mostly April.
      I haven’t ever counted the time from flower to fruit as it seems to be weather dependent

    When it gets really cold, do you cover it with a blanket to keep it warm?

    • @TropicalGardenGuy
      @TropicalGardenGuy  6 месяцев назад +1

      No, but if grown in a location where it freezes, a blanket would offer some protection

    Jeff, I bought a Mexican guava tree two years ago after watching your video. It 's growing in a container and gets about seven hours of direct sunlight, but it has not produced any flowers. Is there anything I could do to get it to fruit? I live in Eastern Contra Costa, zone 9B.

    • @TropicalGardenGuy

    I just picked up some guava from costco. Have you seen them? Are those the same? I plan on planting some seeds. A slight sourness with guava flavor not sweet. About golf ball size.

    • @TropicalGardenGuy
      @TropicalGardenGuy  Год назад +1

      I haven’t seen them , but most farms pick Guavas immature as when ripe they don’t ship well.
      This said, if you have seed it’s worth it to plant them
