@@TropicalGardenGuy Did you grow these from seeds? I'm trying to grow some. The company that I bought the seeds from said that there were no other guavas on their property or nearby to cross pollinate them. Should I believe that?
Mexican guave is my favourite fruit since I've tried it in Yucatán. It is so delicious. Sadly I cannot get them in Germany (if they are available here, answer to my comment where I can buy them), but this may motivate me to visit Mexico again ;)
Hi Jeff, love the Mexican cream guava tree you have. Where did you buy it ? I’m looking for one that is air layered if possible. I don’t want to have to wait 5/6 years for fruit.
Love your videos Jeff! Looking for some Mexican Cream Guavas up here in Vancouver, BC but unsuccessful ! May have to get some seeds from you to grow my own!
That's awesome Jeff! For sure looking forward to how your mangoes and Sapotes are doing after the freeze ? I have a white sapote also but in a pot. Getting some Mexicolas after watching your viideo! You are a good fruit salesman lol! Take care!
Hi Jeff 👋🏼 my young guava tree is growing without being thicker and doing any branch , it's like a liana. Its august so almost the end of summer in 2 month do you think I can prune it now when he is growing ? Thanks for your respons its a pink guava tree he is located in south of the house 🙏🏽
Jeff, I bought a Mexican guava tree two years ago after watching your video. It 's growing in a container and gets about seven hours of direct sunlight, but it has not produced any flowers. Is there anything I could do to get it to fruit? I live in Eastern Contra Costa, zone 9B.
Hi Jeff,I'm so happy to find your channel. I'm in Silicon Valley too. Beside doing videos, do you sell this type of small trees? It needs luck to find a good type.
I just picked up some guava from costco. Have you seen them? Are those the same? I plan on planting some seeds. A slight sourness with guava flavor not sweet. About golf ball size.

The Mexican cream guavas is a natural fruit dessert. It's very good. I can see why it's your favorite type of guava.
Absolutely delicious!

Great video Jeff and great taste test, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching and happy growing!
You have an exceptional Mexican Cream. My Mexican Cream from LaVern nursery (purchased from Lowes) has small fruits the size of man's big toe.
Fertilizer and climate seems to affect the fruit size

I have seeds that I’m giving away on my latest video on ( Modesto Jeff ) on RUclips
Address is at the end of my video

I got it at lowes.
Good quality looking fruit Jeff. What month does it start flowering for you i.e. how long do the fruit take roughly from flower to ripe fruit ?
Thanks Brett , It can flower any month.
But mostly April.
I haven’t ever counted the time from flower to fruit as it seems to be weather dependent

Stay tuned, I may offer a seed giveaway this summer.

Hard to say, but I prune in spring
When it gets really cold, do you cover it with a blanket to keep it warm?
No, but if grown in a location where it freezes, a blanket would offer some protection

Plant it in ground?
@@TropicalGardenGuy Thanks! I'll try planting it in the ground this fall. It's a little too hot right now.

I haven’t seen them , but most farms pick Guavas immature as when ripe they don’t ship well.
This said, if you have seed it’s worth it to plant them
Hey im also from modesto, where did you get your tree from?
Lowes many years ago
Hi. What type and how you fertilize your guavas?
It’s Mexican cream.
I fertilize 3 times a year.
My tree I use a cup of fertilizer
Guavas aren’t to picky about fertilizer.
I like Hollytone evergreen fertilizer.
One cup 3 times a yesr
Super
Thanks
Did it survive the freeze this year?
Yes , it did shed some leaves but no branch damage
