I know its a bit late(7 years) but it's my first anime and this anime has got everything emotions, drama, tragedy, romance. U won't regret a single minute of this show. It's a MASTERPIECE.
After watching AOT, no anime felt good enough to watch cause yk, AoT is literally one of a kind. I came across this anime's name in a comment and wanted to watch the trailer and damnnnnnnnn I'm so glad I came across this. I have a feeling that this anime is gonna fill the void that I felt after completing AoT ✨❤️

Love this anime, I've rewatched it so many times already. Great story, ends where it's supposed to without dragging on. Leave you wanting more but feeling satisfied.. so good
I just finished my marathon of this show and I have the following to say (Spoilers) It was okay, definitely not great, but nothing terrible either. If you are looking for something new and exciting to watch, then I'd say maybe give this series ago, but In all honestly I don't know if I would personally recommend it to people. For me the series started strong, I liked the main character Shinichi, his arc into becoming a semi bad-ass was entertaining enough to stay intrigued, and the side characters weren't annoying enough to get on my nerves or throw me off, so all in all the characters were okay, and the concept was okay too. But in all honesty that's all I really have to say about the show, it never really got me excited, I was never eager to watch the next episode, and I was never moved during any of the series intimate moments. I feel like the show opened up all these possible story arcs, that they could've explored and would've been interesting, but never committed to any of them, nor was there a clear direction where the story/show was going. Besides Shinichi & Murano all the other characters kinda just drift around coming and going, in and out of the story, without any real impact on the show. Like I feel they built up Reiko Tamura's character to be the main villain, but then she transformed into this weird neutral character, that wasn't good or bad, then she just died half way through the series. And she hands her baby off to Shinichi before dying, and whispers "make sure he's raised right" or some bullshit, and he's like "Of course" then we literally never hear or see that child again. It's like, what was the point of that, what was her purpose? what was her child's purpose? And then Gotou is supposed to be the 'big bad' of the show, but it feels like he's just shoved him in there at the end of the series so there's a major obstacle Shinichi has to overcome for the climax, Gotou literally shows up for the last 4-5 episodes, before that he was a nobody character, there's no build up, no climax, its just Shinichi fighting a big monster at the end with no tension. And Murano is not only a useless character, but she's annoying too. All her dialog is basically "You are Shinichi, right?" I swear she says that a dozen times throughout the series. And at one point she even tells Shinichi she preferred him the way he was before. What kind of girlfriend says that? Super shallow character, super annoying, super useless. It just feels like the series goes nowhere, it's an empty shell of a show and the whole thing feels like a waste of time. there's literally no direction, no purpose, no structure to it. Like, at one point Izumi is hanging out with his dad (after his mum dies) and his dad does nothing, no character development. Then Izumi is hanging out at high school with his friends, and that story goes nowhere. Then he's hanging out with the FBI detectives, and the old detective says "You know more than you're letting on" and you never see him again. You never learn where the parasyte's came from, what happened to his face parasyte friend, what happened to Reiko's child, and worst of all in the final episode Migi is just like "I'm off to sleep forever, laters" and then disappears into his arm for no reason at all. This show had such a good concept, but fucking failed on the execution. nothing made sense, there was no direction, and at some points I thought to myself "wtf am I watching" It was just an average show for me, not great, not terrible, 5/10. But this is just my opinion. Thank you for the memories Parasyte: The Maxim, but I think it's safe to say I'll never watch you again. Goodbye forever....

It could have been a really great show if the writing wasn't so bad. Meanwhile I am now watching Jujutsu Kaisen and its so good and the animation beautiful
This cartoon is Great it really tells us about we aren't different from any other living organisms , weather it be a cockroach or a dog everyone has right to live in this world
There is, now, a Korean adaptation on Netflix. They've taken some liberties with the details (lead character is a woman), but 3 episodes into the story, it's very watchable.
Ah! Easily my favorite anime I've watched so far! The finale pulled my heartstrings! The gore may not be for everyone I bet but honestly it's nots that bad. (Although I'm probably not a fair judge on that since gore doesn't bother me)
Has anyone read Glass Slippers on Webcomics it's so smilie to this only thing is that the lead is a girl and the lead mentioned in the anime is the ML I think. In order for the Fl to keep her beauty and not turn back into her original form (I.e a fat girl) She actually kills. Well technically not her but the mouth on her hands.
Actually, Parasyte is adapted from a completed manga, so there's no more episodes for the animators to make since they've reached the end of the manga.
Speaking as someone who sought out the anime because she liked the manga so much, I thought the manga was great. The writing of Izumi's relating to Migi was alternately funny, disturbing and poignant, as were the questions he struggled with regarding humanity's role in the greater order of things. The visuals were good too, and while the anime brought a lot of the great body horror transformation sequences to life in a way the manga didn't, you can see how strongly the images in the manga inspired them. This is just my opinion, but I felt the need to express it! :)
So that is what this is called. I recall back in the day reading one of my uncle's mangas and it was....this. I thought it was neat but of course I don't know Japanese so I didn't know what the title was. But always interested to know. Guess now I do.
