I have no experience with it but it would be interesting to hear what you thought of it : ) (I have used its cousin, Volna 9 50/2, star shaped aperture at f/5,6, slightly larger)
@@DaddyM7MDyeah, but telling you need a special lens to get this bokeh effect and hiding the fact that same result can be achieved by cutting the paper and attaching to the lens or buying an already made cheap form is not very professional.
The Zeiss Jenna Tessar 50mm f2.8 was referred to by Zeiss as "the eagle's eye" for advertising. This lens was copied by the soviets (as they do) and obviously they copied that nickname as well despite it not being as pristine as the Zeiss.
Hi Tom, I really like your videos about vintage lenses. This is so inspiring 👍🏻😀 I've seen that this lens is a rip-off the Carl Zeiss Jena F2.8 50mm. Have you tried out the Carl Zeiss one as well and does it have the star bokeh as well? Is there in general any other lens that has this star bokeh? Kind regards. Andrea
The Zeiss is much sharper and doesn't have the star bokeh as it's an engineering defect caused by cutting on cost. So if you want the star it's better to buy the Industar.
Sharp enough to make commercial photography of small objects and people Has almost no sosoftness of your image But you should remember that as Soviet era lens - quality may vary very much from lens to lens I'm personally have MC ZM-5SA , amd it's almost as sharp at this industar But many people on the internet complaining about same ZM lens as mine So keep it in mind

I love the part where you realize this guy makes commercials and doesn't take very many photos.
That's where the money is at in photography. Selling cameras
You're wrong about him not taking many photos. He's been a Professional photographer for over a decade.

The mangekyou sharingan bokeh
How much did it cost?
looks cool but how do you get this extreme blur at such a high apature
Full frame and focusing really close, plus it just being a bunch of small lights in a dark room doesn’t take much to create bokeh balls in any case
