The actress who plays the mother is so good at toeing that line of playing as robot and a 50s housewife to the point where there are sometimes you have to debate if something is purely just her beong a robot or if it's part of her personality Also both Hazel and Chacha have great actors and Hazel's was great in Mindhunters
nah the scene where diego turns off his mom has no right being that sad. also it's interesting that you said that luther reminds you of Frankenstein, like his head was attached to that body, bc in the comics that's literally what happened. his head was attached to an ape's body. and in the comics, allison's power is WAYY more overpowered, they toned it down for the show. she was even capable of cloning herself and altering reality by saying "yeah no i was actually at this place at this time", it was crazy
**possible spoiler** clarification: Luther didn’t go to the moon of his own accord, Dad sent him to the Moon on a mission. I am loving these reactions! your theories and thoughts are so awesome to watch and I’m always excited when a new episode drops ❤️
@@Anacone this isn't a spoiler, at least not intentionally on my part. I'm pretty sure that it's been mentioned by this point that Dad sent Luther to the moon. if not, then I apologize.
At this point it seems like Allison is very reluctant to use her power, maybe because she was using it too much and she fears becoming like Kilgrave? There's always so much going on in these episodes. I didn't realize until this reaction that Diego hid the monocle to protect Grace, the mom, because he maybe suspected that she killed Reginald, and that she would have been justified in doing so in Diego's eyes because of the how poorly their father treated her. I thought maybe he just had a secret affection for Reginald or was simply messing with Luther but it's deeper than that. If Grace was experiencing some kind of guilt over her actions, it would explain why she is glitching out now and why Diego felt he had to shut her down.
Wouldn't that be great? He's mentioned having quite a few shows coming up that he wants to cover and not wanting to burn out by overcommitting so...we get Umbrella Academy once a week through February in addition to all the other shows !
I understand Allison using her on her child because of the powers she has really tempting to have your child be quite and behave your going to do it and add in the fact how they were raised she not going to know how handle emotionally handle the child not that I condoning what Allison did she basically just mentally abused her daughter and probably did other things to her in regards to her powers

Vanya betrayed the entire family because she was jealous. You dont betray your siblings because your dad was a jerk. We haven't seen any bullying from siblings because she had no powers. We only see attitude and disapproval for the book and betrayal. I would think the Father would have disowned Vanya after such a violation.
You can’t betray people who had little to no loyalty to you in the first place. They never protected or stood up for her when she was a child, sure they were kids themselves and were raised by a selfish monster, but they sure as shit didn’t start to care when they disbanded and grew up. As Allison said herself, you can’t blame the way they continue to treat her as adults on their terrible childhood. Calling writing her book about the incredibly fucked childhood they had, that was even more fucked up on her end as she didn’t even have the smallest iota of care that Hargreeves gave to the others due to simply having a usefulness he could exploit, as a “betrayal”, is ridiculously simplistic and an egregiously unfair judgement. What exactly did she betray, she didn’t have their trust, she didn’t have their respect, she didn’t have their love or care. She grew up alone and disrespected, just because the kids never outright bullied her doesn’t mean they treated her as an equal. They clearly did not, they treated her with barely any more care or respect than the father did because as kids they emulated the way he interacted with Vanya. They never tried to rectify that as a adults, so you can’t just pretend like they aren’t responsible for their own actions. She didn’t betray the “entire family” because she was never even a part of the so-called “family”, she was basically treated as a window dressing by them, she was a background character in their lives. Just because they were kids who were too scared or too obedient to say anything about the way Hargreeves deliberately kept Vanya in the dark, away from her apparent siblings, and treated her like an inconvenience, doesn’t mean they get brownie points for acknowledging her existence every now and then and because they didn’t “bully her” even more. She owed that “family” nothing and yes she wrote that book because she was jealous, that is a completely understandable feeling to have when you were adopted by a narcissistic, uncaring, abusive asshole along with 6 others who are supposed to be your siblings, who then behave as if you aren’t apart of the fucked up family he created for himself. The family was always dysfunctional but the other siblings didn’t even treat Vanya as if she was one of them, we never really hear about any of the siblings bonding or treating Vanya with really any more love or care than their father did. If anything that “family” betrayed her first and foremost, and they only gave a shit when they read her book and had to reflect on their own actions and how they treated her themselves, something that they as adults couldn’ t reconcile with because they wanted to pretend like just because Hargreeves was terrible to everyone that it changes the fact that he still treated them better than he treated her. As dysfunctional and messed the “family” was, the other siblings were at least apart of it and they did absolutely nothing to try and make Vanya feel included and they continued that into adulthood and then had the audacity to act like they weren’t close with her because she alone chose to be closed off from everyone and everything and not because their father kept her at a distance, treating her like a inconsequential ghost, away from the one aspect of their childhood that really allowed the others to bond and get to know one another and as such we imitated that and never made any effort to have a real relationship with her, we literally see in several flashbacks that nearly anytime she tried to bond with them outside of the super hero stuff they didn’t want to or outright ignored her existence like their father did. I’m sorry but imagine the fucking audacity of a bunch of people who were supposed to be your brothers and sisters who were fully aware of the fact that their father never let her participate in the things they did as children that let them bond and care for each other, who at worst treated you as a an annoying nuisance, and a best with the same level of respect and love you show like a distant cousin you see once every 10 years at a family reunion, feeling “betrayed”because she chose to let her voice be heard for once through her writing about their abusive upbringing.
But they did bully her and actively exclude her, due to lack of powers, especially diego. This was done as kids, proven by further flashbacks in the ENTIRE series.
