Strategic objectives are often challenging because they're the bridge between bold visions and annual goals with actions. They're what helps put your plan to the road, driving what you'll get done this day, week, month, and year to achieve your vision of success. In this video, we will show you the steps to develop your strategic objectives.

Dear Erica, you refer to Organization-Wide Strategies in your lectures and website, how do you compare this concept to Strategic Themes or Strategic Focus? are they the same?
Yes, we often see different organizations use different words! But, they have the same meaning.
Thank you very much for putting up this video, it is really helpful, and I wish it can get to more of my colleagues, which I will be doing by sharing the link.
Great!
Hi Erica! I watched your videos on Vision and Mission. They're very logical and I really enjoyed them. I am trying to contrast them with this video, Strategic Objectives Defined, but something is not clicking in my head. If the vision answers the "where" question, the objective cannot also answer "where", can it?
I was wondering if maybe you could do a video contrasting Vision, Mission, Objectives, and Goals. Please? :-)
Hi! We always love feedback and suggestions on future videos. I will definitely put your idea in the hopper for the next round. For now, check out our guide on these areas: onstrategyhq.com/resources/strategic-planning-process-basics/
@@virtualstrategist Thanks so much! :-) I'm subscribed and have notifications on. :-) I'm looking forward to it. Thanks again!
Hi Erica, I noticed that you don’t use SMART in defining your objective. Do objectives have to be SMART?
Yes, smart still applies here. Just know that objectives are longer in length. Also note that the "measurable" part of an objective may not be necessarily a quantitative measure. They can be qualitative measures, too.
Thank you
You're welcome!
