- When the Citadel was destroyed, the Combine forces on Earth were stranded.
Years after the destruction of the Citadel, a group of Combine soldiers takes refuge in a formerly occupied Rebel hideout located somewhere in the Quarantine Zone. Without the influence of the Combine Overwatch, the soldiers are on their own and must scavenge for survival.

love the twist that this basically switched the places of the combine and rebels, where rebels are more in numbers here, and the combine is in hiding now just like how the rebels used to be before. good video bro
Thanks! Maybe even the Combine soldiers are starting to have emotions again due to the absence of the Citadel, and control of the Combine Overwatch?
@@AezorGmod Don't think it works like that. Their emotions aren't being blocked, they're literally cut off. They'll never return to who they once were an would most likely become little more then husks after a few years with no new orders.
@@49mozzer Ah that is true, I just made a theory based on the Combine soldiers from Half-Life: Alyx where they have this "refresh and resolve" thing that resets their memories every now and then.
So I made like an alternate universe where without the resetting of their memories, they are starting to gain a bit of their personalities again.
(But then again, the Citadel was destroyed in Half-Life 2 timeline, not Half-Life Alyx so the Combine in HL2 has their human memories permanently erased and replaced instead of being resetted I believe, so let's just think this is an alternate universe and not a canon timeline 😁)
@@49mozzer they have enough emotion and or sentience left in them to yell "SHIT!"
@@candidate12 Those are Metrocops, not soldiers
Love the tactical feel to it with the different tactics & peeking angles, use of grenades & door breaching etc really good thinking here! Excellent planning of the scenes.
@@Callsign_Ewok Thanks! Although this one was a bit more rushed in making the video due to school making it harder to have a free time in content creation...
(If you compare the Backrooms video I uploaded before this, it was WAY better than this one, but I still tried my best to make it good! Thanks to you guys I managed to finish this video 🥳)
@@AezorGmod The first gmod realism video I've seen where it isn't just some invincible guy holding the trigger of an mg42 on combine squads like some amateur
🔥🔥🔥
If this has part 2 I need to get these mods and the freaking game 😏
But Idk if it’s security though
This is great scenes bro I love it
@@dennisbalabag5270 Thanks! 😁
did you use lifemod or reshade this time?
@@menelogz3698 Still no. I just discovered Lifemod when you mentioned it 2 days ago. The video is almost a week old, so I wasn't able to use it on this video. I might be able to use it instead on the next video.
I know ive been watching for some time, but I think if you can have the game volume just a bit louder than the voices and some of the music, it would be less tuned out
Thanks for the insight, I'll try to fix that in future videos!
@@AezorGmod yea, its a little bit of a study to try and find the balance between certain audios, but from my experience ive gotten a little better
What kind of combine are these guys?!
@@Hikuria478 The addon is called Obsolete Combine. It made them look more tactical!
how did you pose the npcs in the beginning
is it scenic npcs with a replacement addon?
Edit: and can can we get a mod list?
I used an addon called Animated Props by no loafing, this allows you to make a ragdoll do different animations or poses. As for the Combine model, I used Cinematic Mod Combine NPC's which has a replacement and non-replacement versions.
(I'll try making a workshop collection if I can)
@@AezorGmod thanks dude, keep up the good work
can i inquire how you got these combine sitting down and stuff like that I know they are scenic npcs but how?? Also can i ask what those combine models are and are they playermodels

There's also a playermodel version, however its' c_hands are just default Combine hands.
