I love how it shows guys taking it on the head. Most surf videos never show the aftermath of a wipeout or what guys go through when they get caught inside.
Yeah brah! Real part of the story!
Exactly, it shows some wipeouts I have never seen before. They never show the full thing though until the surfer makes it back in. I would like to see how long it takes to get back in and how long they are held down for after wiping out on the first wave of the set.
That's cause these guys suck
@@yodamday3745 HAHA, YOU SUCK YOU TWAT
@@Falquiboy 7:53 ....... unreal....
I love the beginning where it shows people screaming in terror & running away from the beach and these guys are just calmly chit-chatting on the balcony and sipping coffee, saying "yeah looks good, oh look at that one over there, let's saunter down there & paddle out". Then all throughout the video some heavy Pantera instrumentals play while these guys prance down the beach smiling, saying things like "hey be safe bro, yup-yup thanks teeheehee". Then they take some 40 ft waves directly on top of their head and are still smiling.
I would've died from a heart attack the very first time I realized I was caught inside one of these. Plus the water there looks raunchy..💩
Such badasses.. Respect ⚡👌
If you go out on a day like that.. you're a Legend. Much respect, and I can't wait.
12:15 red board..... :O
@@rosechain6255 I went back and watched that BAPTIZEM again!!🏄🏼♂️🌴🤯🍻🤙
Dude 3:56 straight fire Braddah 🔥🏄🏼♂️🤙🍻
@@sugewhitejacoby8654 just watched again tonite, the musik , all amazing,
i need to book a trip to P.E, time to return
The music is crushing as much as the waves. Rarely does metal go with surfing but this was perfectly matched.
Agree 100% Nate. I don't listen to metal, but when choosing the style of tunes to edit this to the choice was easy. Thanks brah.
All I can say is that I'm lucky this video wasn't 5 years long, it was so good I'd just have let the world go by while I sat here watching all of it!.
Thanks brother
The unforgettable Oscar Moncada in his spot......his favorite beach.....(R.I.P.)......very nice video......sometimes it's like a terror movie......too much tension.........we live that days and let me tell you.... was insane.......all the palapas and the restaurant's stuff was swallowed by the ocean.........greetings from Puerto Escondido guys!!........
Blessed love and respect.
@@RealSurfStories Gooood vibes boyz !!!
Best Porto video I've seen on RUclips,
You catch the wave of your life, barrel of your life, and then, you kick out, just to get another 25' bomb crashing on your skull cuz there's absolutely no channel to kick out too. Puerto Econdido is truly, legendary
NO MERCY!!!!
Great video!! MUSIC WAS PERFECT!!! 🤙🏻
Moat videos nowadays have some soft shit. Makes me not want to watch, I also concur with your comment.
Iba a comentar lo mismo (:
The blend between the video and soundtrack are really well put together. Some very intentional intertwining. I noticed. Very creative.
Thank you Michael, tens of thousands videos edited and counting 🤪🤙 -TR
Dude, your movies are the real deal. What can't others know how to put shit together like you do... Had me saying some prayers for some of these guys, I tell ya!!! Nice
Thank you very much William. Yes, I was praying a lot filming this stuff. Made my first surf movie in 1986 and never stopped, just keep changing mediums. 34 years of dedication. Loving the RUclips forum and look forward to getting my old films up on here eventually! -Tony Roberts / TR Productions
@@RealSurfStories thanks for sharing that. Doing what you like with passion. Can't beat that bro.
This is full on. Massive surf, big wipeouts and no jetski's. Awesome.
There were a few on hand. Saved a few lives for sure. But most everyone was paddling in.
from Spain: the mosts brutal waves ever. Big surf. Increible. !!!!!Saludos desde ESPAÑA!!!!
thanks for the proper soundtrack.
Wipe out of the year award at 8:00mins. The whole clip is chaos. BALLS OF STEEL!!!!
Most insane wipeouts I have ever seen. Those dudes are psychos. Legends
Man. I surfed Escondido when it was like 6-8’ and thought I was going to die more than once in those sessions. I can’t imagine even having the balls to paddle out in conditions this heavy.
I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!! I surfed Huntington Beach at 10-feet, and thought I was going to die.
beachbreaks are drowners....reef breaks are direct hitters....Id rather swim ou at 10 Pipe than Puerto
I was in 5 to 7 today and thought i was going to die for a minute. Haha. I cant imagine this. Let alone 10 footers.
That's what I'm thinking, I'm from near nazaré and there's no way I'd get in there paddling. These waves close too fast.
Dislocated my knee at Puerto 😃
Two words, MASSIVE BALLS. 👏👏👏💯💯💯
Not just a crazy bunch of legends...but a totally insane group of riders going for it. RESPECT.
Un-freakin-believable! Everyone charged! Respect to anyone who paddled out this day, even if you didn't make it out
first trip was in 84 i see what it is now and and it just blows me away ,,, the days standing on the cliff at sunrise Carmelitas smoking joints long gone ,, Bomber Bill Weir , Slade , Ron Briggs , Keith Cinco few others really great chargers were the crew ,, great boards , life changing waves ,, amazing time ,, sorry for the memory lane but like i said it just blows me away ,, SHOOOOTS
Classic!!
Love Puerto Escondido ❤❤
The waves are closing out whether you go right or left: it’s a suicide mission
Not even. A grinder but pullable shoulders in almost every shot.
Hardcore... it's Puerto's way... Zicatela is such a unique spot. Good stuff, a raw surf video to watch again and again. Thanx
13:20 the first "rodeo drop" captured on video. Amazing.
Best big wave video ever see...
You got to love it when some guys know the only way out is to paddle in away from the impact zone.
Man I’m getting shook just watching these guys. All that and no jet skis to come save you. Real men with large balls.
I’m surprised the weight of their balls didn’t drown them
Can’t believe some of these were even paddle-able.
Me either. I was in disbelief filming it. These guys are next level.
What in the world
Without jetski!!!!
Hahaha, yes, I had a big laugh at 16.40 when I saw the guy on his paddle, plus he looks "cool" and easy going with this monster in front
🤙🏼YEEEWWWWWW!🤘🏼
7:37 If you look close enough you can actually see the soul trying to exit the body, but then also getting shacked.
hahahaha no way!!
Sick video, couple wipeouts to remember;)

LOL Thanks Wes!
Great footage!! Puerto escondido super bad ass🤙
So cool to see these guys charging these gnarly waves without a jet-ski and strapboards. Big paddle-in surfing is just amazing, just a few real ballsy guys in the water. In the last 4-5 years they are taking it to the next level, finally wiping out the "waves that are too big to paddle into" crap.
"waves that are too big to paddle into" crap. That is covered by the laws of physicsits isnt going to change much you can only paddle a board so fast.Bigger board = faters be harder to make the drop on.
Francisco Porcella 9:35 was sooooo close to making it out, and then got wrecked, wow.
yeah yeah, big waves and heavy metal, the best spor eva!!
Nice mashup of Pantera .... perfect music ...
BRUTAL
It never gets old.
Monster waves without a single wave runner in sight, those are the real MVPs!
Great video. Great music. Kudos for showing the aftermath; guys getting thumped on the inside after the wipeout.
Thanks BL!
Very well made video. Should win an award or something.
Thank you very much, I appreciate that. 🙏
The music seems to fit these waves, just a brutal swell.
yeah lol that was the most metal surf video I have ever seen and look at this metal wipeout 6:16 everything is metal 😂
@@YOUENNNN Pantera and Anthrax with no vocals
Jace Mac cheers, it wouldn’t Shazam but I knew one was def Pantera. Fits the crazy swell perfect 👌
@@jace7541
No wonder it was so good! Pantera rocks so dominant! 😝
Phenomenal job. Thanks for showing the Surfers during the aftermath of a Wipeout. That's when things get pretty hairy
Thanks WCY4. Was scary stuff, I didn't want to film anyone die. Was so stoked everyone survived. I had breakfast with Healy the next day and dude was unfazed. Unbelievable. These guys are just cut from a different cloth.
I like the dude praying and thanking God at the end, then almost eats it. Some of those sets were like apocalyptic, not getting outside in time and going over the falls backwards has to be terrifying.
This Pantera-style music gives elevator-music a new meaning. Love it.
best edit I've seen in a long time soooo intense best music ! that wave at 16 mins is psyco !!!!!!!
Thanks brada appreciate that
yeahhhhhh!!!!!!!!
6:13 the pre claim that goes down in history with the dive right after
Hooolllyy fu..... ! One of the greatest sessions I’ve ever seen! To surf as a mere mortal amongst the gods of sea! 🌊🙈
💯🔥
I know nothing of surfing but I do know bat shit crazy when I c it !!! Rock on 🤘
THESE WAVES ARE JUST VICIOUS!!!!! MUCH RESPECT TOO THE SURFERS THAT TAKE THEM ON!!!!
Nazare: Biggest beach break barrels in the world, brah, can't top this...
Puerto: Hold my beer...
@BC Bob *Cerveza.
the beatings these guys take....absolute madmen... great video!
Absolutely LOCO!! Thanks Justin.
Brutal, just paddling out must insane
stringy bark judging by 7:04 I’d say paddle ins aren’t too fun either....
@@edwinatollstoy4837 you just can't hitch a ride on a 8ft white wash loll
I love Zicatela
MANIACS!!!!!
Much much respect
This place is where you meet the coolest people. the real surfers.
Met Mark Foo here yrs ago.
And Jay Adams, I think on the same trip.
And thank you for not playing some cringey hip hop or tacky electro dish. These waves are chaos, and opening the musical score to Testament is worth its weight in gold.
I love this music
i am happy with 2m waves
Good board choice with the fluorescent caution tape theme. In case of going over the falls, like freefall at six flags, followed by chugging a couple gallons of nice frothy prime Escondido ocean, right before the wave break pretzels you into a scorpion, you will be quickly found as the board catches everyone’s eye as a speck of yellow in handful of cotton.
I don’t understand how people survive waves this big. I feel like I’m gonna drown at 8 foot El Porto
these waves are for the children of the nazare surfers
Sarah Cyrus no. Nazare at twice this size is more manageable. No barrels, easier waves (since you always have to tow in), and they are more predictable
Dude I feel you haha wiping out at 6 ft + Porto gets sketchy af sometimes
this video is outrageous
What I always loved of Puerto, that beach break is heavy just you your board huge sets, point good to, Back in the day 1989 - 93, is the Acalli still there??? Saludos Mario
Pantera + big wave surfing is the best combo
I remember I was there on those dates skydiving, I recall being on my wingsuit looking down and the amount of white in the shore was gnarly, I could tell from couple thousands of feet above that the swell was nuts, I remember also thinking "If I land on the water Im dead"
This, ladies and gentlemen is the real deal. The guys have balls so heavy that they need serious flotation suits. And by the way, this kicks ass compared to some other big surf spots. The close out is brutal, no escape here. Other places will at least give you a chance to get away. Not here.
Big facts Peter!! Hard to imagine how heavy this was just viewing the video, as it was twice as nuts in person!
Spot on music for this!
Can someone explain to me why they need a board that long? It seems to be too hard to handle in the wave and they bottom turn is too soft.
To paddle into waves of this size one needs plenty of length. These guys were riding boards around 10 foot and most said they needed more board. No they have 12 footers on ice waiting for another swell like this! Thanks for the question Faby!
@@RealSurfStories Thanks. I didnt know waves like these are actually not steep/fast enough
So stoked that mark won
I live there, I still remember that owners of the restaurants nearby the water wanted to build a wall, so that wouldn't happen again, happily it was not build
That was mental! Charge!
One day of my life I have to go to that beach to see these Legends ride those beautiful waves.... totally radical🏄♂️
I don’t suppose you duck dive under the sets .... 😂
By far the rawest surfing I have seen in a while. One winner here…. The ocean🤪
That sponge at 9:18 😲
My boy Jay Adams loved Puerto Escondido...
He was a Charger
RIP Jay Boy
V13 4 Life
7:35...geez, totally insane
6:52 The wave looks like it rises forever. Wow
Extraordinary video . Thanks for sharing . I subbed
Thanks CH!!
Shore Break!...love it !
Pedro caladoo has wipeout of the year hands down 💀💀
dude 10 footers make me nervous lol
All of you are reality great and brave
12:10 INSANE MAURI 🇧🇷
This is one of the best
Carnage!
La leyenda Óscar Moncada. Siempre es bueno recordar su sonrisa y alegría.
Extremo! Y muy Peli-freakn-groso!
16:40 I would've stayed with the SUP 🤪
This video only inspires me man takes the fear away from me and makes me understand that is humans can get passed these waves all it takes is 100% committment and experience
Big facts!!
7:37 just brutal
Kamikaze Surfers...RESPECT🤙
Music is fitting for such a heavy day 🤘
Pretty cool soundtrack..Pantera without vocals
7:35-8:48 Pedro is the man !! Wipeout of the century!!!
Truly, such a crazy charger and rad human.
I would of loved to see La punta that day, big!
It was out of control. But when it dropped it was sooooo good.
zicatela was the gnarliest wave I've ever surfed. I surfed it on a performance longboards for 2 months (snapped thrice) and I got the most insane wave of my life there on the biggest swell which was tiny compared to this
ni ko sure bro
@@jbettar I swear
Love the crowd panic screams added in the beginning.
