At first when PK released in December 2014 even I was left thinking why it was facing so much backlash by the organisations. At that time I was unaware about the facts and scenario but I was left suprised that even Hirani just like other filmmakers showed Pakistanis in good light by demeaning Indians n their beliefs, I mean y u need to prove any1 wrong to showcase other as right. Also it is shown Sushant aka Sarfaraz is very liberal, open-minded and secular but Indians are conservative. Note: to the contrary, the fact remains that honor-killings happens most Pakistan
Though he didn't insult the temples he did questioned the beliefs of the people and especially targeted Hindus. (May be he didn't researched abt other religions or he deliberately avoided it). Because I don't think witch hunting, Honor killings are the terms that exist only in a single religion.
Also, there was an attempt by the bollywood industry to bring the Pakistani actors and actresses to the industry and to make them popular in India. Fortunately, they have been sent back to their nation.Otherwise, the whole industry would be under the control of these Pakistani actors and actresses.The industry can’t respect the real talent of actors and actresses, but can offer chances for these Pakistanis.
The movies like Oh My God was taken to insult the faith of Hindus.The director of the movie has degraded the idol worship of Gods in the hindu temples.He does not have the courage to take movies that shows the hatred for the minority religions in India. He knew that if he does such movies on Islamic terrorism where Radical Islamic terrorists are responsible, he would be in a big problem.
Second example, he showed it in his recent movie Sanju where Ranbir aka Sanjay meets a underworld don (again a Hindu with a Tilak) was shown as negative whereas the whole country knows Sanjay Dutt had a connection with “Dawood Ibrahim” .
Well I won't judge Hirani over his movie making but this is just an observation. I leave to you guys to conclude. Vaastav is another example of it.

I think that Hirani is just an average to good director without Vidhu Vinod Chopra. As an SRK fan it surely does disappoint me ke ye wahin director hai jisne Munna Bhai, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, PK & Sanju jaisi filmein banaayi hai. Dunki in sab ke aas paas bhi nahi hai. Although ye bhi maanta hoon ke concept acha hai aur film bhi achi banaayi hai. Aur jitna collection Nett & overseas se aaya hai wo SRK ke stardom se aaya hai.
