I like how you addressed the translation issue. I hardly ever have the patience to do a proper study and go back to the original Hebrew or Greek so I greatly appreciate it when others do. I think the tree of Life in Genesis 3:22 could be a symbol for the gospel (aka good news aka God's promise). Repentance (putting forth our hand to draw near to God) and believing in Christ (eating the fruit of THAT tree) is what one must do to have eternal life. The cherubim with the flaming sword placed for protection of the tree of Life is likely a symbol for the Word of God. I don't want to add to scripture, but the symbols are all there. Your interpretation for the tree in New Jerusalem makes total sense. Made me think about how we are also called the "body of Christ"... It's as if the tree of Life begins as Jesus and we eat Him and then we become like Him in the end.
Monica, thank you for the positive feedback. I'm glad someone appreciates the care for original languages! (You might also enjoy my new video on the beautiful language of Genesis). Certainly, the gospel is a tree of life which nourishes us. But as you suggest, and I mentioned in the video, Jesus is the ultimate TREE who gives us eternal LIFE. God bless you!
Fruits of the Holy Spirit are the characteristics of Christ & also of God the Father. The Son of Man sowed the Good Seed on Calvary into the Ground. Until the Promised Seed came & died for us, we could not bear blessed fruit. (except for a few rare exceptions). Ground (humans) + Seed (Christ or A/C) = Root of (David or Forbidden Knowledge) = Tree of (Life or Death) = Fruit (Blessed or Cursed) = The Harvest. The Good Seed = Grace. But The Evil Seed = Wrath.
Fruit = Apostles Leaves carrying the Gospel to health nations from sin and death God cursed Israel that they could not be healed Isaiah 6:8-10 The great commission took the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the other Nations as Satan is bound and cannot deceive the nations. This is not speaking of the end of ALL Things. There wouldn’t be need for healing.
Thank you so much and explaining that it’s not a physical tree. Definitely liked it
