Interesting, there’s a close similarity in tone to your strat sound but these are humbuckers. There’s not as much variance in your tone throughout the recording but you still sound so close to single coils.

He wanted the humbuckers so he could have a smoother top end as opposed to very twangy single coils. This especially helps him get better distortion sounds.
