@Logan Knight Trailers lie sometimes but most of the time, what you see in the trailer is what you get in the movie. It's rare that you get a Sonic situation where they reshoot and change the movie after the trailers come out. Terminator Salvation, for example, had the entire movie in the trailer and nothing was changed when it released. That was clear evidence that she could have taken to the police. She escaped the house. 2) When she was in the restaurant with her sister and her sisters throat was slit, the knife was in the the air, then slashed her throat. You mean to tell me they didn't have cameras in the restaurant that showed the knife being in the air and being nowhere near the Cecelias hand.

Same! Even if he briefly dons coat and hat that would do it for me. There was a shot of someone bandaged in the trailer already, which might be an easter egg as well.
"You're CRAZY to know who I am, don't you? All right. I'll SHOW YOU!!!!" I loved the 1933 film. I can't wait to see how this remake will compare to the original!!!
Idk how I feel about the trailer. Yeah it was great but it leaves no surprises for us. They could have left out the info about how he turned invisible and the scene with the girl's father getting beat up, and the scene with the phone. I can pretty much guess the plot at this point.
Very well balanced, not overly done, the suspense builds in a real life way which makes you feel like you are right there and that it is real. Elizabeth Moss has a bright future. This woman can act.
I was waiting for the “there’s someone in that chair” scene since it was a great part in the trailer but I guess they made a lot of cuts. The movie was great though, way more happening than just what this trailer showed! For people saying they shouldn’t have showed him being real, they probably weren’t shooting for making this a “is she crazy or not” movie but rather putting the audience in her shoes of trying to defeat an enemy no one believes exists.
Jesus Christ can everyone stop complaining about how the trailer shows a lot of the movie? It doesn’t show all of it. In fact, a lot of these scenes were cut from the movie, and the movie is still good.
1933: "I wanted to do something tremendous, to achieve what men of science have dreamt of since the world began. To gain wealth and fame and honor, to write my name above the greatest scientists of all time." 2020: "I wanted to torment my ex."
For sure nowadays, trailers are just showing the whole movie in 3 minutes. I watched the movie yesterday(without watching the trailer before that). To be honest, that is one of the best trillers i have ever watched before. It’s like a must, if you like that kind of films.
I feel like whenever a trailer shows too much, it's like the studio doesn't trust in the movie to succeed. Just have it short without revealing so much. But are they going to do that? no, they're going to release three more trailers.
It's well documented that trailers that show too much are more effective at getting people into theaters than trailers that don't. That's why they do it.
Can they really make ANY movie about an invisible man and it NOT be somehow connected to the original book? Even if they didn't want it to be connected when making it, audiences would all assume it was anyways.
TabrisVI I meant it in a way of saying is it really necessary to keep recreating one thing time and time again instead of something else that hasn't been adapted in a long while now,
How do you know he won't be invisible to infrared too? I'm sure it's possible to prevent IR light from being emitted. Especially if he already has the tech to make himself invisible.
the 'dark universe', as a label, has actually been discontinued. quoting from the invisible man (1933) wikipedia page it states, "In January 2019, Universal announced that it would completely scrap the Dark Universe and make filmmaker-driven films based on the classic monsters"; more along the lines of artsy films such as 'joker' than more tom cruise action flicks. it could be drawn from this that the movies in this new franchise are supposed to be entirely independent of one another.
@duncan check out the new universal epic universe theme park. They have an entire land dedicated to the dark universe/ classic monsters. I remember when they cancelled the whole dark universe bit and was kinda disappointed, but if you look at the concept art for Epic Universe, this classic monster section of the park pretty prominent, located to the left of the hotel. The fact that they dedicated a land to this extremely surprised me, but I think it will be a nice addition to feature the classic universal studios monsters. Having some serious Monster Squad flashbacks right now. Veeeeeer. Giiiiiin. Lol 😆
Well just to let you know that this isn't a part of the Dark Universe. it's is own thing. the dark universe is dead and for a good damn reason. there is no need for these horror icons to be in a cinematic universe.
@@crimsoncinema5965 I mean technically the universal monsters INVENTED the cinematic universe concept. It would be fitting for them to try again to recreate what they once had. as long they handled it the right way.

The first name of the main character, Cecilia, is derived from the Latin Caecus which means blind or eyeless, Appropriately, she cannot see the Invisible Man. She is frequently called 'C' in the film, which, obviously, is pronounced like 'see.' The opening sequence originally had original music written for it, but Leigh Whannell and the sound design team felt it worked better with silence and the sound of the crashing waves. No actors' names appear at the beginning of the film. The outside wall of the mental institution has a graffiti piece depicting Billy the Puppet, the doll the Jigsaw Killer uses in Saw (2004). Director Leigh Whannell wrote and starred in Saw (2004)

I was wondering is this still apart of the Dark Universe ? Also I liked The Mummy 2017 I thought it was better than the one that came out in 2008.
the 'dark universe', as a label, has actually been discontinued. quoting from the invisible man (1933) wikipedia page it states, "In January 2019, Universal announced that it would completely scrap the Dark Universe and make filmmaker-driven films based on the classic monsters"; more along the lines of artsy films such as 'joker' than more tom cruise action flicks. it could be drawn from this that the movies in this new franchise are supposed to be entirely independent of one another.
