A whole food plant based diet is the best. Fruit (berries are best), veggies (cruciferous, dark green leafy, and allium), whole grains (not bread but grains in their intact form with the groat), legumes (lentils, beans, pulses), nuts and seeds (raw and unsalted). Plenty of water (also green or hibiscus tea), sleep (by 10 o’clock), and exercise (mild following injury/surgery, moderate to vigorous any other time). Take 4,000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D and 200mg of K2 everyday (no matter how much sunshine you get).
I used to put left over shake into ice cube trays, freeze them, then add one or two to the next shake sometimes with a scoop of her favorite icecream and mum loved it.
Well done, this will be helpful as we prep for surgery. Thank you.
