@@YourFootballZone manchester under fergie was more corrupt. the ref always favor them and at one time had alot of dodgy 1-0 wins to the extent your infamous fergie time. not so much with the 80s liverpool. thast why fergie although win so many league titles failed miserably in the CL often and only won 2 times out of a span of 26 years. Its obvious bcos they were never that good.
fergie was a corrupt person and ref favor united. most of their titles are won unfairly. thats why he only managed to win 2 CL in 26 seasons. they cheated and easily got the league and in the CL got no favors from international refs and showed their true average level.
The position of the table has nothing to say when these two teams meets. At some point, things have to turn around for United and they will be back stronger. History tends to repeat itself. Nervous for today's game for the first time this season - but im looking forward to it. And the 7-0 victory should be every Liverpool fan's greatest memory, regardless of age and the fact that the game was not particularly important. - Liverpool fan.
There's a massive gulf between the teams right now but historically there isn't much in it. In the last decade, United fans have constantly talked about historical success under Ferguson because they have nothing else to hit Liverpool fans with, while the era under Ferguson, we Liverpool fans kept on about the 70s and 80s. I will say that the current United squad is in a far worse state than any of the Liverpool teams during the Ferguson era but the Ferguson era of dominance was more consistent. Don't think they ever finished outside the top three after they won their first PL title in 93 while Liverpool in the 70s and 80s had the odd finish outside the top three. In a nutshell, they are pretty much equal if you figure in trophies and fanbase/popularity.
I hope you’re right but we need to stay humble. I’ve heard so many of us talking about thrashing Utd and that worries me. Hubris has a funny way of biting and that could happen tomorrow.
All time league table (1.div+PL). Liverpool 600 pts clear of Man Utd. 600 pts clear. Only two managers had success with Man Utd. Liverpool. Unnumber managers
The jammiest goal of all time was in 1977 FA Cup Final J. Greenoff the by Lou Macari was going wide of the goal going towards the corner flag and ricochet off Greenoff chest wrong footing Clemence. I cried when watching Jimmy Case. Ray Clemence in the center circle. A day of pure tears. But like the Good book says ," Weeping may endure for night but joy comes in the morning" Psalm 30:5b 4 days later was one of the most joyous days of my life when Liverpool won the European Cup for the first time in Rome beating Borrusia munchengladbach 3 -1 Tommy Smith scoring, beautiful evening. For some reason I feel with Arne Slot that the foundation has been laid over by J. Klopp and a new Dynasty is beginning. The pieces are effortlessly coming together and all the other clubs are trying to figure out how Liverpool are becoming the greatest football team. The fear of the FA., Premier League, PGMOL, EuFa, and the other clubs is the rise of Liverpool to become and proven to be the best football club on earth bar none.
Now united fans are coming out with all the Ferguson Nostalgia 11years ago laughing at Liverpool fans. Oh this is funny as hell. Hopefully they give Man united a serious hiding.
5:23 Manchester United's Champions League triumph after 1999 came in 2008 when they beat Chelsea on penalties in the Final. The next season, Manchester United played in the final again, looking for the potential back-to-back triumph in the Champions League, but lost to Barcelona. They also lost to the same opponent 2 years later at Wembley. However, Liverpool also played 3 more Champions League Finals of this century where they didn't actually win it (a loss to Milan in 2007, 2 years after that Miracle of Istanbul, and 2 losses over Real Madrid in 2018 and 2022, both under Jurgen Klopp).

Bigger united

Liverpool was the first English team to win an European treble, in 1984.
European treble usually means Prem/First Division, European Cup/CL and FA Cup

Why isn't their 26 year drought talked about as much as our 30 year drought?🤔🙄
They are a PR club they control the narratives unfortunately
United also went 40 years
Or their FORTY-year drought?
Man such a great video! keep it up! I am a liverpool fan and eventhough I hate united, I still respect the club.
Thanks bro 🙌 yeah massive game tomorrow. Liverpool clear favourites but just never know with this rivalry 🔥
