    If you're someone new at Snooker, and you see Ronnie O'sullivan play for the first time, you would definitely come to the conclusion that Snooker is a pretty easy game.

    Real shame that Michaela is no longer refereeing snooker matches. Such a competent and elegant referee. Michaela, if you’re reading this, please consider a comeback!

      @MadsNordholm Год назад +7

      @@trappenweisseguy27 Sad if true. To me, she is a snooker icon. Why she wouldn’t get the same pay as any other qualified and experienced referee is completely beyond me

    • @uchibenkei
      @uchibenkei Год назад +5

      @@trappenweisseguy27 not quite. it was over a bonus that she didn't get but her colleagues did. she claimed she didn't get it because she was a woman. world snooker said it was because she didn't attend an awards dinner. World snooker wanted a female referee so badly that they actually gave her preferential treatment to get her in and again after she had to be terminated on a last-in first-out basis. they brought her back quickly. It seems very unlikely to me that they would then discriminate against her based on sex. They eventually settled out of court.

    • @will_doherty
      @will_doherty Год назад +1

      @@uchibenkei If they had to settle, they obviously discriminated. If they had no case to answer, there was nothing to settle...

    • @uchibenkei
      @uchibenkei Год назад +2

      @will_doherty it could've been cheaper to settle than to reach any conclusion in court. You could use your logic the other way too. If she chose to settle, it means she obviously didn't believe in her case either. It's a specious argument at best.

However Ronnie O'Sullivan has eclipsed all but Stephen Hendry. Tomorrow morning he begins his challenge for a television age record. We live in fortunate times. These videos are a fitting tribute.
