World snooker wanted a female referee so badly that they actually gave her preferential treatment to get her in and again after she had to be terminated on a last-in first-out basis. they brought her back quickly. It seems very unlikely to me that they would then discriminate against her based on sex. They eventually settled out of court.
@will_doherty it could've been cheaper to settle than to reach any conclusion in court. You could use your logic the other way too. If she chose to settle, it means she obviously didn't believe in her case either. It's a specious argument at best.
