      It's not because of humans. It's because of a very small minority of psychopathic wealth consolidating humans who want everything of value to be as scarce as possible to increase revenue. Even if that means causing a mass extinction. Because the true most valuable resource on this planet is Life.
      The issue is, you don't understand how important this simple fact becomes at scale. And psychopathic wealth consolidators do. So you can be manipulated very easily into agreeing to concessions that you don't know you are making for convenience.

      @@ZennExile Are Pangolins farmed? Your logic only applies if the animals being eater are being farmed. I do actually agree with you btw.
      EDIT: Just looked it up, Pangolins are extremely difficult to breed in captivity and supposedley because of this, commercially farming them wouldn't meet consumer demands. Which is a shame.

    • @ZennExile
      @ZennExile Год назад

      @@Xenomorphasized Domestication doesn't happen overnight. If they can get Pandas to breed Pangolin shouldn't be a problem.
      Currently the demand simply hasn't passed the threshold of investment growth. The scarcity model overwhelms the growth model in profit. Once the reverse is true a will forms and from a profitable enough will comes the way.
      Under society's current model, the flora and fauna we don't consume will rapidly go extinct regardless of any sort of conservation efforts.
      It has unfortunately failed to dawn on most of modern society that we don't just have to "preserve" what's left. We can also restore and rebuild what's been raised in the name of our many mistakes.
      And even if the error of this oversight was overcome, 99.9% of the human population doesn't know what the Rhizosphere is even though it makes up 15-18% of ALL Life on this planet and forms the foundation of all life on land, including human life. Which all of that life that most people see in books and know from media is 1% combined of total biomass. Including every human that's ever lived, not just currently alive.
      What I am saying is, people have vastly overestimated the value of animals like Pangolin when the real threat to life is our relentless assault on the Rhizosphere.
      It's particularly alarming that new super chemicals have been discovered that eradicate all forms of fungi. Especially considering 15% of all Biomass on the planet is inFact fungi including every living thing in every drop of the Ocean.
      When think about weapons of mass destruction you probably think Lockheed Martin and giant nuclear weapons.
      But the most devistating weapon of mass genocidal destruction are three new chemicals named after Keanu Reeves designed to eradicate fungus.
      If these chemicals are released against the Rhizosphere, we will no longer be able to repair it and all Life on Earth will rapidly go extinct.
      I'd worry a little more about that than Pangolins. Without a rich productive Rhizosphere supporting a flourishing habitat, they'll just die anyway.
      And so will every human, starting with the most vulnerable and ending with the most wealthy.
