If PS1 had support for DVD, it would display that same message.

As a kid, one night I had a nightmare which I will remember forever, in this nightmare my old PC (which was in my bedroom) booted up on its own and installed and started a program which had a blue interface and it showed up something (I can't remember exactly what it was rn), and, after a while, it started a countdown of an hour before its self destruction. It's basically just a short video in standard DVD Video format. The same on every DVD Video machine on earth. Your original Xbox game intro was also greenish on the PS2. I suspect you have a problem of hue with your PS2, either a faulty cable or a settings problem.
8:53 the reason the colors are different is because you put a NTSC Xbox game in a European PlayStation 2 and I’m pretty sure that PAL composite outputs can’t properly show the NTSC signal. Most HDMI outputs can display other encoding system so that’s why it was normal on your PS3 and PS4

If I were a console manufacturer, I'd totally play on it. Store a video file of the [console name] boot screen on there, have it play on the host system. Im not an expert in this field but since working for diffrent computer companies in the passed I may have a general idea in simple terms. The discs will have an encryption number or a type of security code within the first section/sector on the disc. This is the first part that gets read. If the codes doesnt match either the format, region, software or other embedded bios hardware settings. Then it wont play or load and may display a premade error message. I believe this is also true for most software and video/audio formats. Copyright purposes.

Yeah, and the pits on a DVD are much smaller than on a CD, the laser used to read a DVD is red, whereas the laser used to read a CD is infrared--the laser literally reads nothing when it tries to read a DVD because the wavelength isn't short enough.

Store a video file of the [console name] boot screen on there, have it play on the host system.

Im not an expert in this field but since working for diffrent computer companies in the passed I may have a general idea in simple terms. The discs will have an encryption number or a type of security code within the first section/sector on the disc. This is the first part that gets read. If the codes doesnt match either the format, region, software or other embedded bios hardware settings. Then it wont play or load and may display a premade error message. I believe this is also true for most software and video/audio formats. Copyright purposes.
