When changing volume, does the volume bar appear on the LG OLED TV when paired through eARC?

I have bought this soundbar but how do I actually play content with Dolby Atmos. A lot of titles on Netflix are Dolby Atmos but I have no idea how to get Atmos output from this soundbar. It isn't documented anywhere. LG has very conveniently only written that the soundbar "supports" Dolby Atmos. But can you actually get it to playback content in Dolby Atmos?. Probably not unless you spend hours and days researching it and then finally going out and buying a new LG TV or Apple TV 4K or a AV Receiver.

It depends on your TV Sandeep, the TV must be able to produce Atmos if so enable it in the sound menue of your TV and connect HDMI from TV(ARC) to Audio in on soundbar

@@kouroshtehrani4150 So cross brand pairing should work right?.. For example, the sony X950H is a 2020 model which supports Dolby Atmos over Dolby TrueHD and eARC also. If I hook that TV up to the LG SL8YG, it should work right? .. (At least in theory)..

I know the soundbar doesn't support eARC and Atmos over TrueHD, but the TV should be able to send Dolby Atmos to the soundbar over Dolby Digital Plus right?

@@zeuskyst yes as long as the TV is capable of sending atmos to the bar but you will need to select that in the TV sound menu.... What's the model number of your TV Sandeep?

I heard it doesn't support eARC. So I won't be able to listen to Dolby Atmos, unless I use the single HDMI IN on the soundbar for this. Is this true?

if u you mean the HDMI out then yes in order to get eARC u need to plug in a hdmi 2.0 cable to the arc hdmi port on your tv, but this soundbar also have an extra hdmi IN so u wont be losing a hdmi port on the tv

Not true.. It works from My LG 2018 Nanocell TV using the inbuilt Netflix hooked up from Arc from the soundbar to Arc on the TV.. This only works if both TV and Soundbar are LG

@@ToneTheOracle How do you know it only works if both tv and soundbar are LG?.. Have you tried with a TV from another brand which also supports Dolby Atmos?
