You guys should do more Lawyer-Esque episodes like this, I thoroughly enjoyed you and Jeff cross examining the evidence and even pulling cold hard facts directly from Andrew’s mouth. It’s such a shame he decided to combat this brilliant conversation filled with conclusive deductions with the classic “We’ll take it to court” statement. I sincerely hope you three revisit this with a type of Court script or as even part of your Civilian/Criminal episodes when you’re not participating as an officer of the law.
16:49 - they say the judge approved the order at 12:56 23:37 - "this stop was initiated at roughly 12:50" case closed, it was approved after the stop started, making the impound illegal.
This was one of my favorite episodes. The back and forth on the laws kept me interested more than some criminal type behavior that they normally would do. Everybody in the whole episode knew the law up and down.
The only problem is the judge can't operate court papers in undeemed hours of the courthouse, therefore the paperwork for the license wouldn't go into actual effect until the opening of the courthouse the following day not at midnight because of court authorization. Which means it was an unlawful act by the police department and judge, laws don't change because the 2nd in Command is acquaintances with the judge... Also to be technical while the judge can suspend his license, the offender and the DMV has to be notorized fist, since the DMV is actually in control of what happens in license offences, so since it was at midnight the DMV was not notorized correctly of the incident!!
Not only that Even if Andrew was to call the judge in the middle of the night the judge would most definitely not be able to suspend his license in that time. The judge would have to wait till morning to actually go to the courthouse and fill out the required paper work to suspend said license. It’s not possible for a judge alone to be able to suspend someone’s license let alone at his house in the middle of the night. Not only that but in DOJ I’m assuming that they don’t have anyone RPing as a judge so it starts to get very touchy in the matter that almost no judge would go out of there way to suspend a license in the middle of the night, especially with all the work that they do during the day.
This is the first time I'm ever commenting on a RUclips video, but I had to let you know how much I enjoyed this video Buggs! I watch your videos mostly for the dialogue between yourself, Polecat and Jeff, and especially with the police, and this video is pure psychological warfare haha! The level of intellectual ability you showed, as well as being able to think quickly on your feet and then articulate yourself directly and with authority is really impressive and I feel slightly bad for the other players that struggle to keep up. You guys remind me a lot of Rhett and Link, who also have a RUclips channel and have a similar kind of wit. So keep up the great videos and as most people have mentioned, you would make a great lawyer and if I'm ever in need of one you're the first person I want!
This was so fun to watch, despite the fact it was set mostly in just one place. Gta needs a court house, so you could attend there for the crimes that you make episodes before or the same episode and prove that you are innocent, that would be epic.
Those "politics" that he was referring to are the actual laws that he was sworn to enforce. This is the classic case of law enforcement not being able to distinguish between the terms "being the law" and being a "representative of the law". This "officer" has clearly proclaimed himself as "being the law", which portrays him as a person who is above the law, and therefore, not affected by the law, in essence, a domestic terrorist.
The second he knew bugs and Jeff had polecat free to have his car he threatened to get them with obstruction, even though he was more than happy to argue with them about it for the 20 mins that spanned before that and give them the evidence they needed, which was around -10 seconds to have the restrictions come through. He essentially used his power, which is for the public, to get out of a hole he dug himself into and then filled with concrete.
You lawyers missed it. Go back to 17:00 into the video and start listening. The officer admits that the revoke hit the system at 12:56pst and then towards the end of the video when you asked him to check the logs of when he started the traffic stop he says it was logged in at 12:50. So he wasn’t driving when suspension came through. Boom! Lawyered!
This is one of the episodes that i definitely wish was continued. Even without a court system they could have just got into discord and argued it. It would've been really great to see.
This is the issue with DOJ at the moment. There needs to be a court system. These cops feel like they can get away with anything because any wrong doing on their end will be handled in imaginary court. They dont have to answer for any of their illegal wrong doings at all. They do need to be held accountable. Also, that would make it so they have reasonable response times for things like drivers license suspentions and warrants, not this 10 minutes with 2 minutes of "talking" with the judge.
I know that this is a year old video. Lol. You guys should have mentioned more that they have to notify Polecat that indeed his Licence has been revoked before anything happens, then if he's caught driving again, that's when they have proper grounds for impound.
I have been waiting on an outcome ever since this was released. We need the court episodes since their is always someone saying you will have your day in court!

They were off by 5 seconds on the time line so if you do go to court you will win, and he even said at the end that he had no idea that the license had been suspended or not but was saying he had all the right to check but that still means that nobody on that scene had any idea that the license was suspended before they checked it and the time line being off just proves that his license was still valid when he was stopped meaning that his vehicle can’t be impounded and if he decided to go ahead and sue them, the odds of him winning are in his favour.
Next time say a ticket is not an admission of guilt, a person is innocent until they admit guilt, or found guilty in a court of law. A ticket is not enough to suspend a license until it goes to court!
