Emmen is a city in the province of Drenthe in The Netherlands close to the German border. Emmen has approximately 107,000 citizens. The main attraction of the city is the Wildlands Adventure Zoo and it's proximity to the densed forrest which covers part of Germany aswell.

Emmen looks like one big village. Everytime I visit Emmen I get reminded how stretched out everything is compared to places like Assen or Groningen.

Correction; the city of Emmen has about 56 500 inhabitants. The municipality of Emmen has about 107 000 inhabitants.
