- Those were the days (1968) - MARY HOPKIN - Lyrics
Once upon a time there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours
Think of all the great things we would do?
Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way
La-la-la-da-da-da
La-la-la-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da, la-da-da-da-da
.......

👏👏👏
This song was released in 1968
The ultimate nostalgia song. OK in the 70s when I was a child, more meaningful now that I am 65 and my Mom is 81 and losing her mind to dementia.
I love you for using this song.
Lots of scum in the 70s too, in some ways worse and in some ways better. It did help that I was 16 in 1975, and 65 now at the tail end of my life with all its successes and failures. The mistakes and wrong turns weigh heavier now, what might have been.
@@jeffruebens8355 En 1972 j'avais 22 ans. Et la vie me paraissait plus saine.
Como dizem em Shang Hai , fiquem ricos!
