Shai plays at a pace that's so hard develop. Never rushes any movement because he knows he'll get his shot off.

@InfiniteCoreXD If you play basketball under traps and high press defense, you know that still being able to slow down and get shots that look effortless is such a skill. A lot of amateur players kind of force themselves to speed up or rush a bad shot, Shai plays it so calm, looks like he's playing at a planet fitness against average Joe's, except these guys are pros.

@@Yute01 playing faster would be much more of a challenge with the defense rotating quicker without the ball. Shai still a great player.
I've heard HS announcers do a better job than this.

@@CaptainSurfy Luka. Easily. You think Shai is as good a playmaker to utilize Gafford and Lively so well, and to kick out to open shooters? No, he's an iso scorer, a very good one to his credit. OKC's full of shooters and Luka is finding every single one. Lob threat with Chet would be far better utilized.
And we don't really need to venture into hypotheticals when we've seen the results. Luka on a bum knee picked OKC apart last playoffs, averaging 25 11 9 to Shai's 32 8 7, very comparable statlines IMO. In the regular season Luka averaged 34 10 9 to SGA's 30 6 6, a far better statline. All this while having a worse team. Sure the Mavs are a very good team, but they don't stack up to the Thunder.
