Better plot: The man inherits the oil rig from the family business, and his real passion is selling candy. The candy he makes tastes awful and only the desperate people on his oil rig will buy it and claim to enjoy it, but he discovers that his candy recipe actually acts as a renewable, more efficient, and cleaner fuel than oil. His recipe changes the world and he's made instantly rich and famous, but it ruins his family's business and now he finds there's no one that will eat his candy because his few faithful customers have moved on.
I'm a bit bothered i've only just stumbled upon this little moving picture show now. This was quite a fantastic romp if i do say so myself. Bravo, lad!
This was definitely a weaker episode of the twilight zone, but Rod Sterling just brings such a flare to it either way, and the effects were way ahead of their time
I can't believe this animated is so old in internet years and I haven't seen it! Fantastic dude! Also! The twist should have been the aliens stole the candy, taught Dimwit Beavis to make candy out of oil, Dimwit brings The Black Candy to the candy expo, and everyone who eats the candy becomes incredibly nice, empathetic, and compassionate, world peace is achieved as a result, but then it pans up to the aliens in space rubbing their little tentacle hands together saying "Yes, yes" and then they call Jeff Bezos and tells him "It is done."
This is one of my most rewatched Oneyplays animations, lol Every once in a while I have the itch to come back and view this cool lil animation I think that all of the parts are really well done, but for one of my favorites, I'd have to say it's when Dimwit Beavis screams after his candy is taken because his expression really matches the yell in my opinion. But then again it all matches up real nicely haha, just the scream is quite funny Wonderful work, dear animator!

But it's in the late 60s, so Jeff is still only four years old. He looks directly at the camera and says "I will invent Amazon" then the credits roll.
