Crazy idea: If Blazers land the #1 pick, we should trade down to the 2nd pick for a future first. Example: Pelicans get second pick and are desperate for Cooper Flagg. Blazers swap picks in exchange for their 2026 first. We then land Ace/Harper at 2, and get another lottery pick in 2016 via NOLA.
I would still like Flagg, but Harper looks amazing too and i wouldn't be disappointed if Blazers ended up with Harper. But lots of other good players too...Bailey, Demin, Jaku, and Tre Johnson even....
@@rileymcphee9429 ah, I assumed by “Ace train” he meant better than Harper, not better than Flagg as well. Still though, you just gotta hope for the best pick possible and let the front office be the ones to make that determination. Maybe Philly or New Orleans ends up with pick #2 and takes Ace. Or maybe (though probably not) they get #1, survey the market, and realize they can get a haul to trade down to 3 with a team that really likes Flagg… Or, as would be my preference, they get #1 and take Flagg because he’s just simply the best player in the draft, lol

Still on that Ace train! I'm weirdly hoping we get the 3rd pick so we can just take BPA
I’m confused, why would having the 3rd pick be best for taking BPA?
I think he's saying there's a pre-determined top 3 and the other two would be taken if we got 3rd, thus forcing our hand.
