In 2016 this guy came to Stanton ca, tore it up with Reece Salken and handed me his board after the sesh then brought out happy hour shades to give to all the little kids zoomin around.
In 2016 i moved to budapest, skated a lot, at the beginning on barefoot too, i was on the summer vibe still, met a US guy in the metro and he called me out saying that, this is not california xd was an attorney or something we chatted a bit

First off the skating was amazing, the music and editing all hit the spot as well. One of the best solo parts I've watched in a minute.
This part was better than the whole dickies video in my opinion. Spots music trick selection. Nothing was predictable so sick. Also the ended is absolutely insane. If you’ve been there you know.

@@danielsummerour dickies video is good don’t get me wrong but it didn’t make me want to go skate. The edit wasn’t for me and the music was mostly bad. This part made me want to go out. Music edit skating all top notch

What a refreshing, hard core f'n video part !! I was starting to get tired of seeing different skaters from all over the world doing the same ledge tricks !! Yeah yeah, they're all sick compared to the videos and what we were doing back in the late 80s early 90s , but it seemed like the lately, everybody was showing how good they can breakdance onto and off a ledge...
That last lipslide tho.... dayyyuuuummm !!

Looks like a young Al Pacino, skates like his DNA 🧬 was enhanced with some Suciu, Silva and a little Figgy. Beautifully rugged and creatively executed.

This part was ... when skating becomes art. Cut it into 4 smaller parts, release strategically and get SOTY. Then spend your life dropping more unbelievable shit for people to trip off. Say his name, people - ETHAN LOY. The people's artist. I'm thinking Loy/Suciu, and Loy/Julian Davidson. I hope Loy's skating infiltrates my dreams over the next few weeks and trips my waking life into a slightly tilted perspective compared to normal. Just random flashes of his trick selection popping into my head as I go about my daily business. Spot choices, color schemes... the aesthetic of this part. Augmenting my life in ways I could never have expected. Small, subtle changes - but the impact is felt, and savoured - and appreciated thoroughly. I will call this phase my 'Loy lifecycle' because I begin to approach my own art differently as a result of his influence. Mr Loy - you can crash on my couch anytime bro - the amount you have sacrificed for you art is evident in every clip. It's not easy to 'be yourself' and 'go against the grain' in a world where 'fitting in' tends to sway the overwhelming majority of people, even in fringe pursuits such as skateboarding. Now, I get to shut up, rewatch and go to some strange place that didn't exist before Ethan Loy and his homies, filmers and editors invented it. Thank you Thrasher.

This part had the opposite effect on me lol so many fillers.. trick selection was ok at best.. way to many wallies and roll on grinds for my taste.. the first song and edit was not nothing special... the name title 3 minutes into a 5 minute part made me lol... couple of tricks that impressed me... the wally boardslide was way cooler than a launch out to boardslide for a banger... it was ok.. nothing special.... great effort tho.
