Nice. Will try and have a go at this later. Will add to gameplay immensely . Sheep pens especially. A great idea to work with grazing to make FS even more realistic.
What would FS 22 be without its community and modders? Giants could easily make this pasture creation feature available right in the game. It would make customizing pastures a lot easier and make the game much more interesting and less limited as it is today. Thank you Disturbed for your work!
Thanks. I don't think generating the underlying things like navmeshs and foliage areas in the game engine is possible at the moment. But it would be nice :)
Indeed. We have fence decorations now, it would be nice if we could build custom pastures by building a fence network that is closed in. Some modular items could be added to create the cow pastures. I was hoping FS22 would have this feature when they announced the more advanced building.
Great video on how to create your own pasture area D/S a good and clear description on the steps to do it. I always enjoy these videos it shows what goes into making mods I am just not comfortable in giants editor but great work as always 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great vid as always, been away from FS for a bit don't how I missed this one. Question, if I wanted to make the pens just be a part of the map from the start is it a case of adding into the placeables folder inside the map and not changing the coordinates in the i3D?
Great tutorial as usual Disturbed. Is it possible without being too difficult to had some milking machine like to milk in the field? I know that realistically it's possible but I don't if it's possible IG? Thanks for the good work anyway 😊
@@DisTurbedSimulations tks a lot I'll this one as a model then and i'll just delete the fences. To transform the field behind the farm in court farms 😊
Do you or any modder you know make mods for modhub? I would love to see a "CUSTOM PASTURE" on all platforms that you can set the fence parameters like as if you're building a fence with the decorative placeables. That way you can build an American style ranch where the animals can roam the entire fenced area. And graze instead of having to feed them like a pen, or feed lot.
By all platforms I assume you mean console, grazing requires a script mod so that can't happen. I believe there are some pastures in testing already or you could use the fenceless husbandries pack.
@DisTurbedSimulations I figured grazing would be out of question after digging into it a little more. I have been using some of the "open pasture" mods, with the addition of adding a fence around the ranch property. But to achieve a believable saturation of cattle, you can easily use up all the spaces that are given. So far, I have 6 placed on a current ranch and have hit map limits unless I buy other farms and destroy the cattle pins on them. Hopefully, some of the newer mods that are going to come out will be a little more useful for simulating a realistic ranch.
Great tutorial, thank you so much! This is a game changer for me. BTW any idea, if it is possible to increase max visible animals? Base game pen which you show this tutorial on has about 15 (?) visible animals, I think. I've created a bit bigger pen for about 100 head and want to see about 50 so the pen does not look too empty or crowded. I added: maxNumVisualAnimals="50" ; in this line : and it increased visible animals to 20. Is it hard limit of the game (for performance reasons?) or is there some other way to increase visible animals? Thanks to anyone, who will give me a hint :)
@@DisTurbedSimulations I tried some bigger pastures and modded pastures. All had max 20 visible animals. Then I found this on giants forum: "25 is the maximum number of visible animals and depending on graphics quality setting. very high = 25 high = 20 medium = 16 low = 10" Since I have Custom high graphic settings, it seems 20 is a hard limit for me.
Thanks mate, appreciate your effots but isn't it mental that games companies cant just put in the shit we want?! GS are a joke. "Oh we've put in Seasons (a mod) in the new game and now you can place fences easier, £50 please!" How about some decent quality of life improvement?!
Because they are a company, and the development cycle for games is longer and more extensive than for mods. I'm not saying they get everything right, but they cater to market that generates the most income.

Grazing is a really nice addition. I also like just being able to create pastures for specific areas.
Great guide Disturbed ! It’s a shame giants doesn’t make this a feature for the base game
Grazing? One of the bits of FS19 seasons they missed from seasons lite

You've made my game play so much more enjoyable with tutorials like these. Saved, so I can study it later! Thank you!
Thats why I like making them.
Brilliantly shown mate, very easy to follow!
Thanks, I expect to see them in your let's plays soon

Fantastic tutorial! Really clear and precise.
Followed the steps and it worked a treat! Thank you for sharing this D/S.
Great to hear!
superb tutorial as always
Thanks, it was a journey to get a decent video
Does the ground have to be flat?
Nope.

You'll need to find a tutorial for that, I've never done it, possibly shywizard has one.
@@DisTurbedSimulations I have found one by FarmerBOB I am working through and also Shywizard as he has always been a go to for Giants editor stuff.

The small basegame ones have milk, so you should get milk if you start with one of those. Adding visuals is just a GE thing.

Great tutorial! Any ideas on why the Animal Dialog trigger wont work when the new pasture is added to a map?
Nope, always works for me. did you accidentally delete / move it so it's not being referenced properly in the xml
@@DisTurbedSimulations That is probably what has happened. Thanks.
I lost the plot after 2 minutes 😅.... but still I think it's great because it will help a lot of people who want their own custom cow pasture
lol me too a few times, I think that was attempt 4 or 5 for some bits
I've found my ingame but it just says "Can not load item". Any tips?
