This is shaping up to be a very dark album, and I love it. I hear clear echoes from II & III, yet it's also very new and 2023. PG is not recycling, but still on a learning journey sonically. To possess the curiosity he still does is amazing. Less than two weeks away in CPH. It can't arrive fast enough, yet I dread the show ending. I hope the live concert will be filmed and released after the tour.
Welp! Not shaping up to be a dark album by now 😆 but there are dark moments. I much much prefer darker, moodier Peter to Road To Joy, the chorus of Olive Tree, I/O title track, even Playing For Time Panopticom (mostly dark mix), The Court (dark dark dark mix, holy crap) and Horses (bright mix) are all pretty spectacular to me
We're so fortunate to finally see this album come to fruition! Sometimes, I forget that I have Peter as my avatar on RUclips, but what can I say? I've seen his group twice in concert, and he makes you feel like a long-time friend, even though we've never talked one-on-one.

I didn't want to decide too early but I think we're nearing half way through and it's becoming evident to me. If I could have all dark mixes (so far anyways) I'd appreciate i/o over UP as a whole. I wonder what will happen with these mixes when i/o is sold as physical media. If he sold it as a double album, with both mixes, I'd have no problem buying that to ensure that I got what I wanted and besides, one could change their mind down the road anyways.
