In HipHop/Rap the word Freestyle has 2 definitions 1) Being able to improvise rap lyrics not rehearsed or written 2)pre-written rap verse that was not on any particular subject matter, but rather was written for the purpose of demonstrating skill. I can tell you dont know about the foundation of HipHop because you dont know the whole definition of freestyle. Any HipHop Pioneer/Legend/Producer would say the same thing.
