I love the cover! Great job. The stitches look great and the painting over the fabric swatches is beautiful 🎉. I LOVE the window and how you made it look like canvas.
I would love to see you work in this journal. I’m a grandma & you have inspired me to make one to pass on to my grandbaby. I would love to see all you include in yours.
Also, thank you for saying the measurements. I’m not good with those, so I’m trying to learn. The template for the binding of the signatures was a bit complicated (I got lost) but I think if I keep watching it, I’ll catch on. Would really like to try a project like this. The moss was majick!! 🎉
The cover looks so much different from the way it use to look. I really like it now! The original cover was good if the journal was a gift at a baby shower. Do you always use different sizes of paper in the signatures? I think, because the journal was so tall, that I noticed the differences in the size of the paper more. I have a hard time being creative.really I'm use to things being all one size, neat and orderly. You did a wonderful job on sewing the signatures in the cover. It looks nice. When you added wax to the string, it reminded me of a funny story. I use to make porcelain dolls (a long time ago). I was given a list of items that I would need for the class. One was dental floss. I looked really hard and found some non waxed floss. Well, I should have gotten the waxed kind for the reasons you mentioned.
I would definitely want to see how you journal, because even though I love watching these videos and enjoy the end results every time, I have no idea how you would actually use them. That probably sounds weird to some, but there you have it. It’s only after watching this channel I have realized that journal making is a thing. Might have something to do with my age 🙄
The Journal looks terrific and yes, seeing how you start to journal would be wonderful. As a query, although totally unimportant, would a distress die mute the thread colour on the spine? Probably not, due to the beeswax (great idea by the way), although putting the raw thread on the ink pad, and then patting with the dabber, letting it dry, then beeswax, would this give a themed coloured thread? Anyway, I like the way it looks now as well as my imagination. Also, before I forget, can you get silicone gel glue for crafters in Australia? Great for strong glue but also for creating 3D effects, similar to hot glue, but the benefit is that you have longer to work with it, it doesn't melt items or burns your fingers. (Tried to send you some through Amazon, but it wouldn't let me!) Anyway, sorry about the letter comment, Love and Hugs xxx 😘🤗💖
Yes want to see what you journal..please. Love the moss. Do you think hairspray would seal the moss on better? I have used it on wreaths. Not the type our moms used lol. But a light spray with max holding.

Oh yes there is an entire journal/junk journal/journal making/book making community out there!

Yes this would definitely work, the ink first and then the bees wax. Never thought of silicone gel to be honest!

It's all mixed with the glue, so should not really come off at all. I'll just stick it back on if it does. It feels pretty solid
