Canelo has power, not one hitter-quitter power by itself but the accuracy makes them lethal.
Canelo is so good that no one gives him credit for dominating Charlo. Before the fight, people were saying this could be an upset, Charlo is dangerous, etc, then Canelo tamed the lion and the narrative turns into "Charlo was never that guy, weight was too much, he kept moving too much". Canelo is THAT good. He's THAT guy.

I've noticed In the states, they don't give Canelo his dues due to the fear of overstepping Floyd. In my opinion Canelo has overtaken Floyd. He's an old school fighter who fights to win, not survive. The fact that he fought Charlo as his 64th fight speaks volumes about the man.

Yea fk that, I listened to them saying Canelo's time was up based on the last couple fights, he has too many miles on him, and Charlo would get the upset by ko etc. Don't switch it up. Give Canelo respect; next I hope he kills that Benavides talk, fight Bud last and call it a legendary career.

Exactly, I had zero expectations for Charlo in this fight due to the layoff, injury, going up 2 weight classes AND fighting undisputed monster Canelo. Saying "he didn't do nothing" it was a mismatch from the jump. Played out better than what I expected. I expected a early round stoppage.

Canelo made him gun shy like he's done with numerous other top fighters. What makes no sense is Bud saying he's no longer interested in facing Charlo even though he's the unified champ at 154 where Bud says he's planning to compete. In reality, I think Bud feels it would be a bad look if Charlo gives him problems after Canelo shut him down. Meanwhile Bud doesn't command big ppv numbers on his own and needs a dance partner.

In reality what happened was Canelo took away his gameplan, ate Charlo's best punches like gummibears and gave him
all the power he ever wanted to feel.
Maybe a lot of guys choose to go out on their shield, other guys decide their only sliver of victory is to remain conscious.
It's however you want to feel about it but I'd prefer we praise team Canelo for predicting they would try and copy Bivol's
attacks between steps and so on instead of just crapping on Charlo.

The fight looked like a sparring session and Charlo was in there to survive coming with tactics like a 9-65 journeyman who turn up for 6 round fights to survive and get paid.. showtime ain't trying to pay two guys 40 million dollars between them for a fight like this one and it be underwhelming it's why there trying to cut from the boxing.

He realised early on he wasnt in the same calibur so he just went into survival mode and just fought like a guy who just didnt wanna get stopped instead of a guy trying to win the fight. That being said i aint trying to see canelo fight another guy whos way to small in bud Crawford who is an amazing fighter but moving up 3 weight classes to fight a guy like canelo its just a huge ask and its a lose lose for canelo. its the right time now if benavidez gets past andrade which he likely will to make him against canelo. It make sense on cinco de mayo weekend and its a real fight for canelo against a young dangerous fighter
