Damn that was close. Chameleos has always kinda been the terrifying goofball of elder dragons and a personal favorite. To see one come this close to beating arguably one of the best and coolest monsters of rise is a good moment. X]
ngl kinda laughed my ass off when Chammy knocked Morb out of his super mode with a little tongue poke. Chammy is surprisingly formidable. All the long-range poison spam is quite effective at getting the job done and his Risen mode nuke can do a stupid amount of damage if a monster is caught in the middle of it. The extra poison damage is obviously nice. Some of its combos are also timed in a way that they catch monsters right as they recover from stagger, causing it to stunlock. It's only glaring weakness is that it has a tendency to sorta just stand around and be a derpy lizard wizard after some combos and attacks, lol. Although it lost, it actually fared much better against PriMal than Risen Val or Shagaru as those two had to rely on their massive HP pools, whereas Risen Chammy almost overcame an HP deficit to lose by a measly 1 hit. It could very well win in a re-match.
11:03 was hilarious, tongue to the face made Malzeno fall over 😂 Was rooting for Chameleos, and it actually got damn close! If it was a 2nd or 4th gen Chameleos, I'd reckon it's eyes would be perfect for countering all the zooming around Malzeno does. At least, I'll make that my headcanon lol
I'll echo the sentiment that it would make a nice touch if PriMal's AI goaded it to focus more attacks on Risen/afflicted monsties in its effort to purge the Qurio's chokehold.

Primordial Malzeno is such a rough character man. Imagine fighting to protect your home and environment for so long, just to fall victim to what you were fighting against and descend into insanity before you can be put out of your misery. According to the lore, Malzenos are very pure hearted defenders, but the curios twisted them. Kinda wish you didn't have to kill Primordial Malzeno from a lore standpoint. Perfect ending in my book would be killing the last of the curios and PM going free.
I'm pretty sure canonically we don't kill him. But if we kill other ones then they probably died from the Qurio being ripped away from them forcefully.
@@kratosdertoten4035but...you literally canonically don't kill PM. The urgent quest is the canon quest, any repeat quests you kill it in are non-canon.
This fight couldn’t of gotten any closer, if it wasn’t for Primordial’s bloodlust state I think it would of lost to the Chameleon dragon 😅 Excellent fight as always 😁
1. Chameleos is not considered a fighting type creature, it is more of a defensive type 2. Chameleos probably doesn’t have that much endurance or durability due to the nature of its color changing skin and lack of armor 3. It lacks fighting skills 4. Chameleos prefers to be alone and stay away from any conflict These are the reasons why Chameleos is the weakest of the Elder Dragon Trio and also one of the weakest Elder Dragons alongside Vaal Hazak, Kirin, and etc.
I agree although I don’t think we can actually disable it due to because it is a part of the monsters A.I and I don’t think we have a necessary system to change or disable some attacks.

Primordial Malzeno is using its Hazard Quest stats, and Risen Chameleos is using it stats from its A9* Anomaly Quest.
