Thank you for the great video! Here's a couple of tips I have learned. Do a load of laundry every weekday. M-F. It's much easier to do a small load than be overwhelmed with big loads and all that folding and putting away. Another great tip I've learned is to have the SAME color socks for your kids. If everyone wears black socks it is so much easier to pair them up and you don't have to even think about making them perfectly white. Just two tips... hope that helps someone! :)
So blessed by your videos! We have four little ones ages 1,3, 5 and almost 7 that we homeschool ; my husband runs a company and teaches at our church. Your tips always bless me and challenge me to be the wife and mama the Lord has called me to be! We live in a neighborhood and I don't garden or craft, but I love what you share, as it is practical for anyone who wants to make the most of the calling of homemaking!
Great video. You left off SAYING NO. I am a people pleaser. I get caught in the trap of doing too much or having mom guilt and ultimately neglecting myself. I live a very similar lifestyle as you, homesteading, home making, and home schooling my children. Over the winter months I tend to get into a routine centered around socializing and schooling. Spring arrives and I don't cut back. I am so excited to get back into gardening and husbandry, I forget... that garden & those baby critters grow. By August, I'm burning out & overwhelmed. I forget I can tell others and my children NO. I forget to schedule that date with my husband, that hour of tea time with a friend and I get resentful & envious. I lose my joy & my perspective. I guess it goes with the season. It is so easy to slip into that mood. But we always have to refocus and reevaluate what we're doing wrong & what we're doing right. And say... NO.
Halfway through the video I had to stop. I’ve been looking for advice on how to get stuff done being a sahm…but so far there’s no mention of the mom part. I’m only staying home with my youngest of 3 and he makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get anything productive done. As soon as I sit down, and just scroll through my phone, he leaves me alone. The second I start to cook, fold laundry, or do anything productive he’s grabbing my legs.
