LYRICS: Strange, how the sunlight feels on my skin Like a hand that’s warm And the day finds my with another drink in my hand Shine on, shine on Wait, now the clouds form the incoming storm Guess I should have known From the way that my thoughts had given way to a song Hang on Higher than any mountaintop Lower than the deepest sea I know sometimes it feels like We’re walking around in circles endlessly Breathe as the smoke from another cigarette Swirls around my head And I lean against the wall and contemplate going to bed When will the rain stop? Higher than any mountaintop Lower than the deepest sea I know sometimes it feels like We’re walking around in circles endlessly Mourning the death of memory Silence is all I speak I confess that’s a funeral That I won’t attend consciously The battle of self we face it all alone With nobody’s help we save ourselves There’s no throwing stones Now the sunlight begins to creep in I guess I’ll try again Higher than any mountaintop Lower than the deepest sea I know sometimes it feels like We’re walking around in circles endlessly Mourning the death of memory Silence is all I speak I confess that’s a funeral That I won’t attend consciously
Wow. Love this but I've been a Fates Warning fan for 30+ yrs (wow....days are short but the years fly by). This is captivating....thank you for continuing to share your talent with us. Love you guys...
The way you place your words in the melody is something I always love about you Ray. Especially when Jim is providing the canvas. That's healing music right there!.
I haven't been able to find much on the other musicians appearing on the album, but there is this little tidbit: "For the most part, Ray and Jim are the only musicians on the album, although drummer Gunnar Olsen (Puscifer) appears on a couple of tracks"
There is something wrong with the sound. It's actually terrible...? You guys should filter the recordings way better! Gives injustice to Ray Alders great voice. I used to promote music. Metal Eternity Promotion... Fix the sound guys!!!
LYRICS:
Strange, how the sunlight feels on my skin
Like a hand that’s warm
And the day finds my with another drink in my hand
Shine on, shine on
Wait, now the clouds form the incoming storm
Guess I should have known
From the way that my thoughts had given way to a song
Hang on
Higher than any mountaintop
Lower than the deepest sea
I know sometimes it feels like
We’re walking around in circles endlessly
Breathe as the smoke from another cigarette
Swirls around my head
And I lean against the wall and contemplate going to bed
When will the rain stop?
Higher than any mountaintop
Lower than the deepest sea
I know sometimes it feels like
We’re walking around in circles endlessly
Mourning the death of memory
Silence is all I speak
I confess that’s a funeral
That I won’t attend consciously
The battle of self we face it all alone
With nobody’s help we save ourselves
There’s no throwing stones
Now the sunlight begins to creep in
I guess I’ll try again
Higher than any mountaintop
Lower than the deepest sea
I know sometimes it feels like
We’re walking around in circles endlessly
Mourning the death of memory
Silence is all I speak
I confess that’s a funeral
That I won’t attend consciously

What a great song, I can’t explain the feeling I get listening to this song, all I know is I love the feeling and I can’t get enough of it
Great song, great album!
This track ending, only starts my longing for more.

What a lovely intro! 🧡
Nice music. Nice animation. Easter Island statue people live.
That's the same house from the 'Long Day Good Night' cover and the two birds from 'Theories Of Flight'...
Not my style but i can still recognize this is a really great song. Much appreciated
Какой же превосходный клип, слов нет
Крутейший проект! Местами почему то напоминает легкую версию Katatonia!

кльово, але дуже сумно😎
So who’s in percussion and bass guitar?

Uhhh, there's nothing wrong with the sound.
@@SanchoHamwich Sound has distortion... Not a clean recording
It’s an effect over the guitar, brainiac. Jim has used it on numerous songs, across numerous projects. Good grief….
@@mikealfano1361 No, it distorts Rays voice as if he is 10 yards away from the mic
